we must remember that Alcatraz's vocal chords were damaged,so he can't speak. he has to speak through and onboard microphone with Prophet's help (read "Crysis: Legion" for more on that)

explosions and gunfire show off the graphics and the engine. He was also playing it on easy and taking a hell of a lot of gunfire. Play like that on either of the top two difficulties and you're dead in seconds but it's good for demonstration purposes

i love cutscenes wen it shows ur guy being a complete badass also all time best bow arrow of all time would be the crossbow (if u count it to) from bioshock that shot out a cord after it hit something or someone and zap

Lol, you're right. I get that hunch that cryteck did that on purpose in order to bring something special in Crysis 3. One could say that "Alcatraz" was just a transition character for something better to come. In one Crysis 3 demo, I heard Prophet's voice again; is he back? I want him back!

quick question, at 6:38 Prophet/Alcatraz has the Typhoon, SCAR, and the compound bow...does the bow count as a weapon? or can you have 3 weapons now? Im guessing the bow is treated as equipment. Anybody?

They'll probably release a DirectX 11 update and High-Texture Pack like they did with Crysis 2 later on for PC. So on release the visuals on PC will be similar if not a little better. Then they'll patch it once it's released and focus more on the PC without worrying about consoles. Would be great if they had a separate team working on the enhanced visuals at the same time now though so it was fully ready for release. I always wait a month after releases waiting for more patches and stuff :)

at the very start it says 'footage recorded from a pre alpha version of the game' meaning that they are no where near finished with what the game is going to be like at this point and when a game repeats graphics it usually means there were no complaints about the previous one's or there were no real ways to improve them

Since Crysis 2 was a big leap forward in terms of graphical improvements for the series from Crysis 1 and Warhead, people expect this iteration to be just as improved. I think what he meant was the HUD and weapons are mostly the same but with a different environment.

You can do this in other games too, though. Hopefully choosing a particular style will lead to different cutscenes or events.

No prophet is still using alcatraz's body, but from crysis 2 when alcatraz was having a full systems scan where he gets captured you find out that his voicebox was destroyed so prophet is speaking through the suit not vocal chords. alcatraz was pretty much dead if it wasn't for the suit and prophet used him until he could control the suit when he got enough nano catalyst.

true and i have heard that u can hook up a wired xbox controller to a pc ill still keep my xbox tho due to console only releases such as halo witch i really enjoy, also by next gen consoles u mean the ones that are coming out like in 2 years right if thats so ill look into those specs

You can. The playstyles aren't options for levels, just to show you can play to suit your playstykle

well i really enjoyed the tank mission from crysis 1, and i was hopping crysis 2 to be more like that, or at least the multiplayer to be more opened, just like crysis 1 with some very good objectives, but they turned the multiplayer more fast placed

The real Prophet is dead. But his traits has be uploaded to his suit such his personality, memories and voice. Since Alcatraz lost his voice chords because of the attack he took in the beginning, he use Prohet's voice via the suit.

Looks pretty similar to Deus Ex Human revolution. There were a staggering number of different ways to go and you could go lethal/loud, or non-lethal/stealth

The AI on the nanosuit took over Alcatraz's body. You can tell in the ending of C2.

He is not thrown away. That is Alcatraz speaking in the game; Using Prophet's voice via Nanosuit since his own voice chords are damaged.

your right i havnt but iv always wanted to ever sence i first saw the trailer for it but all i could do was look up as many walkthroughs as i could because my computer couldnt play it, i know psyco and nomad are not in the second but its still crysis, the ceph are still bad psyco and the rest are still out there, everything is still cannon

I wish they would bring back the prone mechanic from Crysis 1. I mean it's hard to sneak around if you can't crawl under tall grass.

I actually think it was. Why? Just because it looked like the player had some sort of auto-aim on. I'm sure it was before as well, but I'm currently paused a bit after 3:50, and the player shot two guys in the water. He just locked onto both of them going down the sites. I could be wrong, maybe PC shooters have auto-aim and I haven't noticed, it just seemed more noticeable in this video then (or it is on Xbox 360). The E3 gameplay demo was on PC though, and they used an Xbox 360 controller.

Crysis 1 took place on huge open maps and not very linear areas. While crysis 2/3 aren't very linear and have pretty open maps. Crysis 1 was even more open.

Yea, prophet IS the suite now. The suite and the person are one. Alcatraz is still there, but just he's flesh and bones, I'm not 100% i think that's how it works out. Yea hopefully Nomad pops up in crysis 3, I mean, there was Nomad in crysis, and Psycho in Crysis Warhead... they cant just eliminate both characters

I'd probably use the hacking and stelth as much as possible. Its just somthing about me that likes being the unseen killer. Somthing i piced up from games like crysis. the rainbow six series (up to vegas), and theif.

I loved Crisis 2, its so underrated, im loving Crisis 3.
