This is only thing about crysis that is good. Played it whole again after years, and now since my english is pretty good now, the only good things about the series are graphics and mechanics, tho they areny great for today times anymore. I rate overall games as barely plaayeable which is pretty high considerong i don't complete 95% of the games is play and i finished crysis one and two twice.

After looking at it and playing the remaster myself. I can say one thing for sure. This game didn't need a remaster. This needed a sequal or reboot. The old graphics are still gorgeous

The whole point of these remasters was to bring back hype for Crysis, they LITERALLY announced a Crysis 4 Teaser 2 years ago.

Something I’d like games to do instead of trying to push graphics further at the cost of gameplay is make something that looks good with fleshed out features and gameplay

The original somehow manages to look better lol

In the og Prophets shadows are going trough the floor and in general the original has alot of low res textures

Still looks good to this day

That crytek engine was sure ahead of its time back then.

I used to play this game on my Xbox 360 as a kid and had no clue what to do.

The corpse looks worse in the remaster due to the shadow. Maybe that's more accurate lighting, but it draws attention to the dead dude holding his leg up

Why don't we get games like this anymore, this series was awesome. We need Crysis 4 !!!

They didn't need to remaster the lighting, the lighting was PERFECT! They only needed to remaster the assets, goddamnit! I hate that slight Sepia lighting modern game engines create. It totally ruins the photorealism!

Many years ago, I remember someone saying that Crysis 2 released for PC is the same as the console version, which means it doesn't have improvements that only a PC could provide, however there is a very easy to install mod called MaldoHD, It's a very complex mod that changes the entire look of the game, if you put it on ultra you'll be impressed. One day I would like someone who has a good PC to make a comparison (Crysis 2 Original + MaldoHD vs Crysis 2 Resmatered) it would be interesting.

This game was amazing first time experiencing it on the 360 slim fully paid

@@prehistorichero2755 Remaking the game requires more funds and resources than remastering. Crytek was failing and losing money for a long time. That's why they remastered the Crysis trilogy, to gain some funds and investment which now they are using to make Crysis 4.

og mostly looked better in this for me lighting looked too bright at times in the remaster

i hate how opening that door in remastered gives you an artificial flash in an attempt to "wow" you while in the original its the actual bloom that had "wow"ed me the first time i played it. It feels fake and forced on. These remasters are basically just ports for console players who had never play the original, there's really not much for original fans of the series. With the amount of money they made off these remasters i hope we're getting an actual Crysis soon with Crysis 4, built from the ground up and one that would represent that Crysis experience i remembered as a whole

11 year passed and still original looks better than remastered and better than 90% of new games

Why in remaster palette is so yellow?

To be honest. I think the only games that has remastered, truly mastered are Halos 1 and 2. Other remastered games just looks like they changed the lighting, shadows, and some color palettes

Check out NieR replicants remaster and demon souls. Demon souls only redid the graphics and sound design. They did a very good job. But replicants remaster was remastered so hard they instead started to call it an upgrade. Not only were the graphics updated, but they had the original voice actors redo all of their lines, the original composer supervised a new team of composers to redo the games soundtrack, they upgraded the combat to match the sequel NieR:Automata more in combat. They also added a whole new side story and the Canon ending of the game in the remaster. It's probably the absolute best work a remaster can do. It's not quite a remake, not quite just a remaster, it's an upgrade.

I think it's funny growing up in this era of games because I'm old enough to remember when everyone was saying that Crysis 2's color pallete (and other games of that era) were too murky and boring. Now everyone's saying this game is the better than the remaster when the remaster just went for more realistic lighting and updated the textures that the color pallete covered up in the original

I agree, crisis 2 looked amazing. But quite frankly, graphics of video games have not improved that dramatically over say the last 10-12 years.

Remaster has more textures. But also the Deus Ex feel to it.

remastered is using more advanced techniques but it just looks like every other shooter. original had a special look to it

Так и есть ,при детальном разборе оказывается что тот же 3 кризис в сравнению с оригиналом зачем то добавили мыло испортили тени. Думая над этим пришел к выводу что,нужно было состряпать по быстрому как сейчас любят ремоки,ремасты для поколения новых консолей,денег особо тратить не хотят,по этому по быстрому нафигачивают фильтры или новые не нужные технологии для продвижения,в итоге уничтожая всю изначальную работу художников ,которые выводили тени и текстуры до нормы. Это хорошо заметно по ремасту масс эффект легендари,если изучать крайзис то все тоже самое ,чаще игра выглядит гораздо хуже . Так же было интересно исследую этот вопрос ,выяснилось что практически каждая игра которая была на консолях предыдущего поколения переизданная на нынешнее выглядит как облысевшая ,засвеченная а в некоторых случаях как например с том райдером или метро из за уничтожения оригинальных наработок и добавления новых технологий ,лицо главных персонажей меняется до неузнаваемости ,например Анна из метро становится похожа на Клаву бухгалтершу ,версии пс5. Самое смешное если сравнивать версию пс3 оригинал кризис 3 и версию на пс5,выходит так смешным образом ,будто все должно быть наоборот,особенно смешно вспоминая рассказы о том какие консольки слабые. А в итоге мы имеем более качественную и приятную глазу картинку чем на железе по мощнее.парадокс. для себя решил по этому что на пс5 лучше играть в версии именно для пс4,там слава богу без вмешательств игры выглядят куда более приятнее,чем с этим hdr .хорошо что есть совместимость.
