You don't need to worry about metal. It will always be around. Honestly, most forms of music will be around for as long as humans enjoying listening to them.

@@misshapenape8196 I often think about that. Recorded music is relatively new, and rock/metal have been around for only 50 years or so. I don't worry about metal going away as much as I worry about it becoming shitty, which isn't that hard.

@@alexandrerodrigues9844 Metal is never going to turn to shit as long as the underground scene exists. Underground black & death metal is fucking amazing, and there's also a bunch of very good well known bands. I have to say that this mainstream djent & "progressive" stuff is garbage though.

@Cee Dub619cameraman lol this band just released a split album with Vektor ( the band nobodies heard of ) who also released one of the most lauded metal albums in 2016, considered by A LOT of the metal world ( outside of the mainstream ) the best thrash metal album in at least the last 2 decades.

I like this band, but I do find it odd that they're a technical death metal (basically the same genre as Cryptopsy) band, they're signed to Century Media (which is the same record label that Cryptopsy used to be on), and they're only a few letters away from being spelled the same. I hate to sound like I'm being crappy towards the band (and I don't mean them any disrespect), but given the other similarities, would it have been so hard for them to come up with a name that wasn't so similar? That's just my 2 cents on the name topic.

@@midway478 Since when are Cryptosis technical death metal? They're closer to technical/progressive thrash in the vein of bands like Coroner, Voivod, and Vektor and don't sound remotely like Cryptopsy style tech death. They chose the name Cryptosis because it fits with their sci-fi and technology-oriented lyrical themes, not because it's similar to Cryptopsy.

Hari Desikachary Amen! Haha, you’re right. Both names have a totally different meaning as well. For us the name is a representation of technological hypnosis. Something that all our lyrics deal with.

@@DragonFist9323 Don't worry. We're stil very into extreme stuff. But also want to expand our horizon from time to time. We felt that we could not do that with Distillator since it has become a band that was your typical old school thrash metal. Now we can do the fuck we want haha.
