I would like to see more from the cobra buckle system; having those on an SPC has to make life a hundred times easier.

Question. What about something protective to plates? Seems like necesity when they are exposed like that. How is wear and tear on laser cut PALS? Others Ive seen strech out quite a lot after some time. How comfortable it is in prone movements?

Whats up dude! You may need to cover the plates depending on what kind of plates and how they are covered. If you have Ceramic plates and they arent sealed Id def recommend some kind of cover, S&S makes some plate covers. Ive been running my SPC for over a year and I havent noticed any wear on the laser cut pals, I believe this is due to the laminate material used, it is tougher than typical laser cut cordura and has an almost plastic feel to it on the backside, very tough. Its alright for prone movement, its about as slick as a front plate bag as you can get. That would depend more so on what plates and placard you are running up front. -Wes

And I thought I wqs first to think to use the Ferro Quick detach on SPC cumberbund. How's it working? Haven't gotten mine yet, due to ferro not having any stock. Anything I should consider when installing?

You do have to cut off the velcro from the spc cummerbund. So if youre going to do it its a commitment.

There are some Ferro cobra buckle kits on eBay that usually do a better job staying in-stock. Some other things to consider: 1) You will need to cut off the e-doff handles & flaps. 2) The cummerbund tabs that you insert into the front plate bag will probably stick out approximately 1 inch, but this shouldn't affect functionality nor strength. 3) You will need to consider how much space, room, etc. there is between the male & female buckles so you can freely don & doff as you need to.

Did you have to cut off the velcro at the front of your vrye cumberband to make the ferro buckles work?

@@macfolkers1774 that’s what I was thinking. I like the idea of the buckles but I don’t think I’m willing to permanently modify the cummerbund for it, if that’s the case.

@@masonhaspert9717 I honestly think the convenience and practicality of this setup justifies getting a spare cummerbund to dedicate to it. Plus, you'll just look cool as shit and that's what counts.

Yeah you do have to permanently mod the cummerbund, but if your needing a quieter setup its the way to go over velcro when we get into noise disipline
