Crye Precision Field Uniform Overview / Thoughts

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Talking about the fit of the Field line vs the Combat line, when I choose to wear mine, and things to consider so a CSM doesn’t snipe your ass.

Great commentary on the field vs. combat apparel for crye precision especially the CSM story. Wearing that stuff really personifies the phrase, “only do what your rank can afford”. Hah!!!

I have the army custom field pants in 34R. They fit perfect. Not baggy, but definitely roomy . The leg bottoms are wider compared to old woodland bdu 's but they still sit right on your footwear

I am curious though on one thing. Did you get the field shirt sewn up at one of the Fort Bragg sew shops and they knew where to place all the nametapes and rank? For me it looks like it would be a challenge on where to place all that stuff as it’s a uniform that doesn’t conform to AR 165-1. Still looks good and functional though.

Sean Kavanagh no I didn’t get it sewn up there, I just showed the people where I wanted the name tapes and rank, they pinned it on, then sewed it later! Came out great

One of my buddies from Fury just got back there after a contract in Alaska before the Poland trip and said it’s WAY more relaxed there. I believe he’s a PSG now but I can’t remember which company he’s in. He said it’s a totally different world from when we first got there in 2013. I’m happy for you though, I’m glad to hear it’s getting better.lol

@@anthonysmerdon44 I haven’t talked to him in a few months but last he told me, he was thinking about going for the Scout PSG job. We deployed together back in 2014 but no CIBs. If he is tabbed, Pathfinder and JM qualified, and has an EIB, then we’re probably talking about the same guy lol.

I'm in the Guard and I find the Crye uniforms to be the best. However, the tops are something I doubt would go over well in garrison due to those two velcro patches. I do wear field trousers as they are better than the issued ones. I have never had anyone notice I was wearing them either.
