The music is traditional Swedish(and Scandinavian) folk music! Just search for "Svensk folkmusik fiol" and you'll find plenty of music similar to the soundtrack of Unravel :)

Arusiek90 Yes! The game captures the idyllic essence of Sweden perfectly. This game is very nostalgic to me in a way. Even though I'm still young (19), it takes me back in time to when I was a little kid, playing in the forest and by the sea with my brothers and cousins at our summer house. Oh boy, I'd do anything to have those days back...

That's Cry alright. It's like it adds to the game's immersion somehow.Usually talking over a game takes it away, but with Cry i find it suits the game's atmosphere.

I almost get Ori and the Blind Forest vibes from this series. Super calm (although Ori had some rather violent foes) and peaceful. Nice and chill. And I love how Cry fades the edits instead of just cutting suddenly to another part. It's a small thing, but it fits in so much better in a game like this.

This game makes me nostalgic. I like it. I miss my old house, the beach down the road, the small abandoned church where my brother and I used to ride our bikes, my huge ass backyard with my 10 foot tall sunflower, my old swing set that we used to jump off of and play "wacky wipeouts" and the old wooden rocking chair in my room. Sometimes, I miss being a kid. It was easier.

takoyaki yeah but the house was in the middle of nowhere. The town it was in was so small it doesn't even exist anymore. There were no jobs, so we had to move. It really was the best house though. I wish we could have taken the house and moved it, you know?

yeah I understand. my granny lives tiny village. She has a big, beautiful yard and there is a forest nearby, but there is literally nothing else so we don´t go there often. life as a kid really was great when you didn´t need anything else but nature and some family around^^ good memories

+takoyaki I actually live in the northern parts of Sweden next to a little lake with forest all around. In a little red house. In summer I can hear the waves and water in the little stream next to it. In winter it's frozen and crystal clear. It's so calm. The surroundings in this game is 100% on point. Just amazing how the people who made it captured the spirit of Swedish nature so perfect.

Turns out this game is based in Sweden I think? Some of the signposts has Swedish names, and the pillow in the beginning of the game has a message on it which means "happiness blooms from small simple things" I thought that was very beautiful :3

i always love the "in the last video" section at the start. Its so enlightening and you really know whats going on again

I love Cry because he can give out random uplifting speeches about confidence and self-esteem mid-game which helps you immensely if you are depressed.

This is awesome! And cute! But you know what I miss the most? A Cry reads episode.

I like how this game is so innocent and lighthearted that cry doesn't really swear when he messes up or something. He says "darn" or "oh shoot" or "oh dear, oh my" Haha, it's super adorable. This series is so relaxing to watch. I love listening to Cry's voice playing this game while painting or before bed. Super sweet!

Idk why but watching you play this game makes me cry. The little yarn dude, the photo album, and the music just gives me this sweet and sad feeling. Plus poor crab being all tapped. I hope it finds its way out.

So you said last episode you were wondering where this was set? Well, it's set in Norrland, Sweden. It's really quite accurate as well. Of course, not everywhere in Norrland looks like this, (seeing how Norrland makes up like half the country) but there definitely some places that look like they do in the game. They really did the details justice tho, gotta say.

This is a key example of why Cry is such a great content creator. Him simply just talking adds to the overall "zen" of this game. Cry doesn't need to make crazy facial reactions or have special editing effects to make this game enjoyable. Cry is the Best KZreadr and Streamer ever.

So what I've gathered from these two episodes, is that Cry is a yarn person hunting for the lost memories of the old lady who owns the yarn ball he came out of. That is sweet and adorable and I love it.

And this game just keeps the calm vibe throughout, even as you die in water. I just... love this so much so far. I can't put why into words.

I absolutely love the music to this game, and along with the ambience sound and Cry's voice, it is an excellent experience and a massive stress relief. I, for one, am very excited to see where it will go.

The graphics are so good that my cat was trying to catch the yarn on my screen. :)

the music combined with the cute yarny and graphics and crys voice was a perfect way to end the day. just laying in bed at 11:30 letting all my emotions, stress, and anxiety melt away with crys cute calm voice along with gentle giggles. thanks cry.

Everything about this game reminds me of my summer cottage in the Finnish archipelago, that coupled with Cry's voice, the general feel of the game and the music just makes this one of the best letsplays I have ever watched. Just. Wow. So many memories. Now I even more can't wait for summer so I can go back there.

Head canon thus far- the lone woman has dementia, Yarni is finding her memories for her through items she made with red thread, maybe through symbolism of tying red wool around a finger as to not forget? I am expecting the worst because maybe then the feels won't punch me in the gut when they happen. And there will be feels. one does not simply make a game this pretty and about memories and not include many feels. Man the art style caresses me though.
