Watching this as a Swede from Västerbotten, which is where Unravel takes place, I can't help but wonder what other people who are not from around here feel when they play this game. Because all these environments are so incredibly nostalgic and familiar to me. I know the smell and taste of them. The mire. The lingon berries. The elk hunter's tower. These are all places where I've spent my childhood, fishing, picking berries and mushrooms, exploring the forest and the sea shores of Östersjön with my grandparents. This game plucks at my heart strings like no game ever has before. So beautiful. So bittersweet.

+BackAlleyTANGO Even though I'm not from Västerbotten, I know that notalgic feeling! Dalsland looks like this as well, down to the broken-down tracktor being left in the wood to rust. We don't have a coast but the wood looks just like this, gives me a nice feeling of home!

+BackAlleyTANGO I'm also getting nostalgic vibes from this game although I';m from Norway. The "bærplukker" (berry plucker), the rusted tractor, the random moose and unfortunately, the mosquitoes.... :') The only thing we don't have where I live are the mushrooms.

This game is so incredibly peaceful to me. The scenery is extremly pretty, it makes me want to explore these places. In German we have this word 'Fernweh' which describes the feeling of wanting to be far away, exploring a certain place but being stuck at your current place (Fern= far[away], weh= hurt). You're really lucky you could grow up in such a beautiful place (except for the mosqitos I guess? :D). Man, I always wanted to travel to Sweden, this game makes me wanna do it even more!

24:30 that there is a berry picker. it works kinda like a claw, you swipe it at the berry bush and it's claws pick the berries from the branches leaving you with a bunch of berries and leaves.

It is truely something special to watch your videos, it's not only the sound of your voice but also how you use it that creates always a certain mood

Hey Cry, gonna get a little weird for a second. I just wanna say thank you for making videos like these. Lots of youtubers make videos where they are loud and excited the whole time, and I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but the whole "calm and soothing" approach you take is like a breath of fresh air. See, I've suffered chronic nightmares, and insomnia as a result, since I was in diapers. To the point that I slept so little during my school career my growth was stunted by about 5 inches compared to what I was projected to be. After waking from a particularly bad nightmare I will normally flip on one of two things to calm me down enough to sleep again: either WTNV or one of your LPs. It took a long time for me to find ANYTHING that will help me calm down when a night terror robs me of sleep, so I just want to say thank you for providing a quiet place to help me sleep.

The combo of crys voice, the music in the game and how good the graphics are, it feels so soothing and nice 😊 love it

straight up thought yesterday that amarante's music would be a great fit for this game. so glad u used it.

This part of the game really felt like home. And the way Cry reacted to the mosquitoes reminded me of how my little sister used to be when we went out to pick berries. She never managed to pick any because she were to occupied swatting at those buggers.

I love watching this. It feels like Yarnie is battling the mosquitoes himself, swinging his arms and stuff. Idk, it's just nice.

The way that this game looks and feels while he's playing it, I've honestly decided to believe that Yarny is what Cry looks like in real life.

Cry, I just want to say thank you. I've been experiencing anxiety and depression since I was 11. I have my ups and downs with my illnesses, but the last few months have been a major downhill for me. I've been taking what I call 'episodes', which are basically extremely severe panic attacks. They're so severe they cause me physical pain (I get SUPER bad facial pain from how bad I grind my teeth during the panic attack; and when I say super bad, I mean super fucking bad, it feels like someone's taking a screwdriver and twisting it into my cheek with all their might). Whenever I take one of these 'episodes', I have to shut everything off, hole myself up in my room, take a pill and I watch your videos on my ipod until it's over. I think I've watched your lets plays of Broken Age, Papo and Yo, and Fragile Dreams a million times by now (I used to also just fall asleep watching them on my ipod, have been for a few years now). Even when I'm just generally not feeling well I watch your videos. So it was a pleasant surprise to see that you were back! I look forward to your videos every day. They truly do help me a lot, help me get through these tough times. I am...sort of getting help. I have a doctor but to be frank, he's a bit of a fucknugget who blames my parents for my mental illnesses. Unfortunately he's all I can afford, and I need pills right now. I am getting a much better doctor in the next several months. But until then, your videos do remain a small comfort for me when I'm doing horrible. I'm thoroughly enjoying this lets play so far, plus the other one you're currently doing, and look forward to a new video every day that you can make them. Keep doing what you're doing, man. You never know who out there you might be helping a bit.
