Crushing & Panning Gold From An Oxidized Outcrop!
We extracted high grade gold ore from a gossanous, conglomerate outcrop, crushed the ore with a portable rock crusher and panned in a nearby creek to remove the coarse gold! Very high grade gold was found for the amount we panned out, loads of iron sulfides found with the gold.

Another swell video, Justin! Thanx for lettin us see these great spots.
I'm addicted to watching your videos with captioning on! Today's gems are when you're running the crusher. It says "applause " and "music" LMAO! Music to a gold prospectors ear, but the applause only comes if the soft yellow metal hits the stage!

Y'all having too much fun.... Awesome conglomerate and I'm sure we will be seeing the exploration of the brook water running down that hill ! Y'all keep up the great videos Thank you !
😂😂 your mining partner and I, both have the same methods for carrying a bucket down the hill. I love his style 😂🤠

love the ore throw and the falling rock right before haha. awesome videos guys, hey im from bc and its great to learn what to look for in rocks around here so thanks for the lessons!!!
I love the desert, beautiful trekking, and searching for gems and curiosities
Very nice looking material, guys. I always like seeing the ore get crushed up and panned down. You had some great samples in there!
Glad you didn't hurt yourself bud, another great video. You guys are sooooo Lucky to do this. Thanks eh
Loving all ur geology lessons good sir
wow yall are so lucky to have such a great location,great vid
What a awesome in the field kit you have mint setup
That was real good. Love your adventures!!
Very educational videos. Thank you!
Grate video thanks!
Nice little spot there. I would suggest that you do not walk on the log decks, A friend of mine was killed when the logs rolled in the deck he was standing on. Keep up the videos and stay safe out there.
That was proper interesting stuff to watch. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Thank you!
Very informative short video. I thank you and subscribed.
Thats awesome! Love the vids!
God !! Living in such place worth the whole world’s gold !!

Cool
Very educational. You guys are genius! Learnt heaps about sulfides and oxidation, but need more info. In this video which rock ore did you crush? Does this ore hold the most gold in the conglomerate outcrop? I couldnt see quartz in the outcrop.
I have come across a conglomerate mass not as extensive as yours. Thanks for posting your video.
Nice video and gorgeous location......
Nice
nice gold
2 thumbs up for sure!
Amazing very good, good lucky
That would also be my pail technique 😳😁
The creek I work the bedrock is a highly oxidized and crumbles pretty easily if it was you would crush it up and see if that was were the gold was coming from because I have never had a pan that didn't have at least 2 colors in it and I've worked the same spot for 4 months now and it still produces plenty of gold every time I go down there please let me know what you think
Nice place 👊👊
It's true, a "clay layer" usually does keep pacers on top the layer, however, I got fooled once by a clay layer on North Clear Creek, just downstream from Black Hawk, CO. Turned out (after watching a KZread video post a few years later) a guy found decent gold BELOW the clay layer coincidentally at the exact same spot I had prospected!

Same at barkerville way back when everyone was working the river. Everyone else dug to the blue clay layer and stopped when they got good gold. Billy Barker dug down past the clay and at 52 feet struck the riches that made the area famous.

Yes a long time ago we haven't found any which are gold bearing. Well a few but not very rich.
You always have an informative videos... Got so many ideas.. how about the quartzs scattered in the river loaded a lot of pyrites.. is it a good ore? Thanks
Sweet little hotspot
You have made a special mechanism for the spiral machine. do you have a detailed video about this
Good.
nice gold i like the grinder rock crusher
Brilliant . I live in Austria and have tried panning . I am guessing your in the north west of USA or laska
Hey brother I got some information for you the grade that you found is really high grade but what it looks like to me is whenever you find ore that has purple in it it's either gold mixed with aluminum or gold mixed with tin but you can't really pan that you would have to extract it by dipping it into aqua regia and precipitating it out if it doesn't precipitate out then you have to drop a piece of copper in there and then start over again but it'll work
good job get more buckets about 20 of them it is worth trying... I would do it if i was there...
That's an amazing little portable crusher.

How long does a battery last?
@911mining
4 жыл бұрын
About 25 or 30 min of straight constant crushing, no stops, we have a few spares, we used 1.25 battery life for this test.
Nice toss..lol
Looks like the crusher was doing it's job but how did those big chunks get through the classifier? Must have been Miner Magician Fast Fingers... Not a bad return for the time you spent, although it might have been quicker without the escaping bucket of panning material - I know because I've had the same thing happen on a steep wet slope as well. Good video !! Thanks for the trip and keep the videos coming !!

Hi Justin,niiiice vid,and just the same stuff im finding here,on coastal creeks,no gold YET,but high hopes.So many times got my hands burned with that sulphides,can you tell me if im wrong suposing where oxide water doesnt burn,it comes from iron,and where it boil my hand,it comes from pyriye,acid increasing caused by sulfure in ot,is this right or i am wrong? Thank you,veeery nice vid.

They would look for this, there area has hoards of gold and iron deposits which are known all discovered from logging this ones a new one they logged about 6 months ago and cut into dozens of exposures.
As much as you sample during the year, what do you figure you capture for just sampling? Just curious.. Or is it catch and release..lol..
@911mining
4 жыл бұрын
A lot is catch and release most very fine gold. I would say this year from sampling maybe 3-5 ounces. Not including mineral deposits that's just placer.

Where did you get that grinder cap?!
hi friend! Does the spiral machine have chain at the end or standard spiral head?
Can I basically crushed any rocks or quartz in a gold bearing area and try to get gold out of it?
@911mining
4 жыл бұрын
Not always, sulfide bearing samples which contain gold in the sulfides are a little trickier, without the proper refining equipment you wouldn't get full recovery. Crushing is always a good test for free mill gold but you can also miss gold bearing sulfides.
👍👍
Thats dryed blood in there from some giant creatures of long ago,some sea creatures that settled into the Earth after the flood.
Is that a herk sticking out at about 1:50s in?
Sweet exposures and pans 911! I think up those 2 water runs might be very interesting if feasible. Thanks 911
Amazing that your could crush the samples with a battery powered tool and be able to end up with pickers. Makes me wonder why everyone bothers with the river banks.
You sounded so unhappy about the mineral deposit discovery, I now need counselling lol
Where is one location I can go to?

So the white clay layer is decomposed bedrock that the conglomerate layer is sitting on.?
@911mining
4 жыл бұрын
A small compact gravel/clay layer mix We have tested it there are some sulfides but little gold. The layer above the oxidized Conglomerate is were all the good stuff is
What exactly is sulfides?
@911mining
4 жыл бұрын
Sulfide minerals, are a combination of iron and sulfur. As an example, iron pyrite is a portion iron and a portion sulfur, chalcopyrite is copper, iron sulfur, galena is lead, silver, iron, sulfur. Sulfides often contain valuable elements that make them ore or rocks worth mining for there content. There are hundreds of different sulfide mineral combinations.
Nice, be careful with your panning though don’t want to lose any
That had to be bad dropping a whole bucket of pay but the clay will stop it from sinking
hi, thanks!! So what do you do after finding a spot like that? You claim it? An sell it? Or set up a highbanker? You sell to mining Companies or to hobby gold diggers? Is it possible to make a good profit? Many questions, but would really appreciate answers to them. That would be sooo kind!
what state are you in ?
Watch out for mudslide rocks etc
What state?
Nice noisemaker, I mean rock crusher.
chunks of pyrite ???? explain
Would not the larger gold be trapped in the clay layer? Just a thought>>>>

On top of the clay layer you c as n find some but your matrix in the Conglomerate holds more.

@911mining

Depends, if your doing a small operation your better to just run material and get placer gold out of the matrix, if your sending to a refinery or knew how to seperate gold from sulfides crushing would give you a higher yield.

watching lots vids to catch up.. Great Info, nice camera presentations.. Luv It! More Man ! =O}-,///>oOOoooo
I'm not sure that you need stone crusher, hammer and so on for prospecting. The nature have done all for you, for free. Just grab a bucket of clear deposit from the nearest ground. And btw be more aggressive with panning. The gold is heavy and as such its need more power to sink. And dont swirl! Dan Hurd with his 10 Tip and Tricks can teach you well ;) glhf
great video. Obviously panning is not your business. Curious aprox how many grams a year do you get from prospecting.
👍👍👍👍👍🎩
will gold be in pyrite
