So pleased you enjoyed it Stevie
You are spot on with your thoughts on when the canals were put in .When l dug the trench and installed my model canal in the garden it looked dreadful initially but time and nature are a great healer 😊
I was just thinking that a new vlog must be due, and here it is. My day is now complete. Living vicariously through your travels Gary.

Every Wednesday and Saturday if I can, pleased you're enjoying them
I have to tell you how much I love your Vlogs. Yours was the first Narrowboat Channel I saw, and I just happened upon it several years ago. I have seen your ups and downs and am so thankful to see you with your wonderful family. Your cruise through the Welsh canal, I can't pronounce it or spell it, but it was magical. Your Channel brings me a tranquil feel that I am so greatful for. Thank you for your great help to help lift me up and make my life better. God bless you and Nicky, Lily and Noah. You are a blessing to me, thank you again.❤️

Thanks so much Jackie, hope you're both good
Great vlogs, dog, and doublet used to be my favourite pub many years ago when we lived a few miles away. Shame about the M42 so near used to be very peaceful before it was built.

So sorry, we do have brand new mics but they won't link to my phone. I do keep trying but it's no good.im taking them to Crick to see if any of my vlogging friends can sort them out
Hi Gary, I was just wandering I don't know much about the early days of the canals but there would not have been leisure Boaters or live aboards back then just the barge workers, back and forth to the city? The barges could have carried raw supplies to the factory or finished items down to the city, even chemicals. I don't think there was too many nine homes near the canal even along the town or city. Chris from Sydney,Australia 🇦🇺
Yes, new canals would of had resistance to them, same with motorways and railways today
GG says woof to Lily and Noah. Plus the six puppies
A wonderful vlog and on this day of your cruise was my birthday and I don't celebrate it since what happened to Jackie who is with Lee and my mum went through but I hope you're all well.

I'm so sorry for your loss bud... all good here thanks I hope it is with you too
The wee dogs must be a handful ...but a duck?... I had a mallard set up a nest in my back yard, next to a basement window one year. Daft thing! I do not live anywhere adjacent to a body of water.

Was there an ancient fort that needed protection in the area with carriages going across that had metal wheels ?

If you mean about the double Bridge I doubt it as the Fort would of pre dated the canal
