But maybe not if the cruise company is sponsoring you on the ship...they might wait to make sure you're back. Because the "I missed my ship" vlog wouldn't be a great ad.

Today it’s a little different. Yes, they will leave you if you are late. But, there is always a but, on the port paperwork they give you onboard the ship prior to disembarking for the day or if you download it on your phone they give you a contact number if you have any problems and to contact ship if you have an accident, you were robbed or sickness, etc. The number they give you is a life line that most people don’t even realize that cruise ships and lines have this service. It a life line.

I’ve seen people running down the dock when the boat was leaving, the boat did not turn back. But the port boat took them to the cruise boat. I’m sure at a cost.

Yup, but that’s one of the best entertainment......standing on the top deck, watching for runners!

I lived in Colombia for a year and it makes me SO happy to see you two enjoying this incredible country!!

Colombia will always have a special place in my heart. As the child of a US diplomat, I spent 3.5 years in Bogota, started school there, and learned the second of the 5 languages I speak today. One of the best things about international cruises is that you get a taste of places, which helps you decide if you want to return to explore more in depth. When you said you had 40 minutes left to get back to the ship but you were going to stop for another food item, my heart leapt. There are countless videos about people getting left at ports because they didn't make it back in time!

Can this get any better? I always keep wondering how come all your vlogs turn out to be so magical!! I guess the secret is the awesome editing and positivity that is filled in you guys! I always love when you guys rush to catch a plane or a bus!!

Watching this series has been bitter sweet. My husband and I had paid to do a Panama Cruise for our 25th anniversary. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma three years before the trip. We thought we could still do it, with his dr’s ok, but the cancer got worse before we could go. We celebrated in the hospital, two months later, he died. Enjoy this time together, do as much traveling and enjoying Life, while you can.

I'm from Canada and I went in Colombia last summer, that is in amazing country, I visited Bogota (the capital of the country), Medellin is really nice and I liked so much Santa Marta, I went in the Tayrona National Park and Minca in the Sierra Nevada, I had a good time in that country

This is just too cool. I LOVE Latin countries! The food is always amazing, the architecture stunning, everything so affordable, the people friendly. I am loving this cruise series! I'm so glad we still have another 6 days to go! Yayyy!

I’m visiting Colombia right now and just went to Cartagena and in Santa Marta so it’s fun to watch Kara and Nate explore Colombia as well!!

How do you always find something so unique to take part in and share your special experience with us all! It’s great seeing you emerge yourself in the culture and do stuff which is sometimes off the beaten track! Amazing vlogs and every time I watch your new ones I can’t wait to watch the next!!!

Also, I know very little about Cartagena. Everytime I hear it said, I'm reminded of _Romancing the Stone._ It looks absolutely wonderful. And Kara must be in Colombian Coffee heaven! 😍😍😍

Santa Marta is such a beautiful city. It was the grad trip location for my tourism program back in 1994. It's definitely changed over the years since I was there, and I have always wanted to return so I could visit more of the country like Cartagena. My whole love affair with coffee was born in Colombia.

One thing I’ve noticed. How clean the streets are. Wow. They really take pride in there country. We could learn a thing or two from the Colombians.

FINALLY!!! Finally someone on this platform vlogs about pandebono and pan de yuca. I enjoyed so much your video, and I hope you come back to Colombia, and if you are going to, you have to come to Santiago de Cali (our 3rd biggest city but sadly it's very underrated by foreign tourist), but you have to come between the 25th and 31th of december (Feria de Cali, biggest "festival" of the city). If you like coffee, you should also visit coffee's axis (Eje cafetero) which is a triplet of cities (Armenia, Pereira and Manizales) responsible for the colombian coffee tradition (The Feria de Manizales is immediately after the Feria de Cali *wink*). Btw, don't let locals scare you with crazy stories, you do you and have fun. Just don't do anything or go into some places that you wouldn't do/go into in your home town. PS: That chef is truly a legend among us. Is kind of our own Gordon Ramsey

i’m going to colombia this summer, so excited!

The memories I have of Cartagena are the traffic and few stop lights or even stop signs so glad we were on a bus! The old town is spectacular and so is the fort. I enjoyed the shopping and got coffee. We had a walking tour in the old town. The newer city is also very beautiful with the high rise apartments.

Wow, I think this is the first time that Kara and Nate have ever done a video of a place that I had been to before them! My wife and I did the Panama Canal cruise and we stopped in Cartagena about a month ago. It was beautiful.

You definitely need to visit Colombia for longer. I spent an entire month last summer travelling through the country with my friends and it was such a great experience!

Another amazing video..loving these multiple days combined. I feel like it gives a better flow to overall narrative 👍

I've been watching your videos for awhile now and I've got my husband into it too! We are both well traveled and have been together almost five years but have never flown together (WHAT??)!! One thing we know we agree on is that we are the type of people who arrive to our flight's gate at least an hour early!! haha. So, your videos where you are running to the gate gives us heart palpitations and then this one, running through Colombia to try and not miss the ship had me in cold sweats! haha. Keep up the wonderful content!!

I went in Santa Marta last summer and the city is really nice, there are many good hotels there like Hilton and Marriott and is not expensive

Other food to try: arepa, sancocho, bandeja paisa, fried fish and coconut rice and of course you have to drink the local liquors like aguardiente or Ron
