Get involved in your states scene! Driving even 4-5 hours is totally worth it to go to a small grassroots group meetup, generally people are always welcoming of new skaters

Wow, this brings back the memories. I'm 45 now but I can't tell you how many hundreds of miles I put on my skateboards with all my friends back in the early 90's. These kids make it look way easier and smoother than when we surfed. It's amazing how much skateboards have progressed over the years.

I love these videos. I really want to get good with my skateboard and then get a longboard or those cruisers with kicktails.

today was the first day I ever skated, although I fell on the ground 2 minutes into the ride I'm thankful for videos like these that keep me motivated to never give up and that I will eventually get the hang of a cruiser board, thank you :)

Keenan Graziano I just got a dinghy for my first board ever. It’s fun but in Florida it’s really flat and I feel like I have to push all the time. What exactly is carving? Would it help with that problem?

@@Kyle-hf8dq carving is used to avoid obstacles and shaving speed while going downhill. It's when the board is on the verge of sliding. Carving in a rhythm can generate speed though. You can use it to avoid pushing on the flat and even up small hills. My next board is going to be a commuter so I'm looking for something that pumps really well and rolls forever.

Everything from joyous and pleasant to deathly and insane. There's one section of the Serpentine Pits near Tinehead that would be be schwifty as fuck. But yeah, there's pretty sweet spots all over the place out here.

Hey what kind of wheels do you recommend like a brand size for a pintail,cruiser,dropdeck

I recently learned to longboard but haven't been able to for two weeks because I overworked my lower back on the side of my pushing leg. Does anybody have any recommendations on how to not overwork back muscles while boarding?

Can someone tell me what kind if hawg wheels I need to do poweslides and 180s I have hawgs on my landyaught but find it very hard to slide. Almost not possible. Someone help?

@@guillaumesakiche Good choice. Did you get it? I'm 34 and recently skating again, since dabbling briefly 7 years ago, which was the first time I had since I was a teenager. I'd like to get a Tugboat, and then upgrade to a HollowTech Dighy which is a similar size (even wider, and lighter as it's HollowTech), or just get the HollowTech Dighy straight off. Can't get it in the UK currently though. So much cheaper in Canada too! The Rally Cat looks great too. Might get both. The Rally Cat for bigger stuff (hills, long distance), and the Tugboat or HollowTech Dighy for local cruising. The Ripper looks good too. And a proper longboard, lol. But yeah, the Tugboat is fine choice. Love the griptape on the Tugboat Captain. Just do it and keep at it. Use it for getting around. I'm using a Penny Nickel at the moment (too small really) mostly to do supermarket and post runs.
