1984 I'd just graduated High School and it was indeed Summer in Australia. My Brother had a mate who owned a Movie Theatre and The Karate Kid had just come out. We had the whole cinema to ourselves and I'll never forget Cruel Summer coming on and now it's seared into my memory as one of my all-time favourite songs of the 80's. The best of times.

Holy cow, these women are all incredibly gorgeous still. Amazing memories and wonderful to hear them.

This group is so epic man… I am taken so back to the days of hanging out with 5 of the neighborhood kids on our BMX bikes riding through the neighborhood passing by the girls playing hop scotch and dancing in their garages ending up at another block with kids jumping over neighborhood trash cans to see who eats it… this is how neighborhood legends are created…. That was childhood done right!

This is pure '80s!! I always loved this song. A true timeless masterpiece it is. It hit the top of the music charts in the '80s many times. This song made Bananarama famous. It just never gets old!!!!
