Great video, I love your narration. I been driving with one tank strap for about a year and today my tank started leaking in the same spot as yours. But she has over 327k miles never really gives me much trouble, bought it with 62k still on original tranny/engine and gas tank up until today. 1x intake manifold 2x water pumps 1x starter That’s it other then routine maintenance not bad for 327k miles, well fuel tank now.

The reason the trunk release is in the middle is because it is a cop car and they kept their shotguns and ammo in the trunk. Kind of emergency button. My stock p73 has the trunk release on the bottom of the driver’s door…

I am about to tackle this job tommorow because i destroyed fuel pump and its in pieces inside the tank. Atleast I have a donor crown vic in my driveway

There's video on KZread that show you how to fix that plastic very strong with a metal mesh and a small heating tool. Ford also told me $505 for that whole long piece when I only needed eight inch at the other end and new clip, old one was gone I was. I used few clamps and let the clip fly as its inch into the other end and just a vent hose

Any idea what the big cylinder thing was. I found a new tank pressure sensor (which you don’t have. Where it Ts off.) and the smaller bathtub toy that pulls out.

@@NickRoiger yes. Had to go to champion Ford and told the guy “looking for a part for a 98 CVPI” looked at me like I was crazy. Took about 30 minutes to find. Tho the little blue one (vent valve) autozone ordered the wrong one. Turned out to be small and white with a metal ring on bottom. Idk if maybe they revised it or something tho.
