Best of luck with that. You don't get to choose to no longer be honesexual as sexuality is not a choice. You can choose to be celibate but can't choose who you're attracted to. Also the word homosexual was never in the Bible until 1948 when a group of white men translated "sexual perversion" into the word "homosexual", it's since been added to the Bible a few more times in the 1990's. If sin is a choice and sexuality I'd not a choice then sexuality is not a sin. I pray you don't get too far into the rabbit hole of man's brainwashing of man telling you want God wants...because man is flawed.

I've heard this song many times but it never really hit home until my son passed away on December 20, 2021. My heart has pain that I never felt before, but I am confident that he is in Heaven knowing Christ as his Savior. He was blind, on dialysis, heart problems and on and on. He used to say, "Mom don't cry when I go. The first thing I will see after 7 years of being blind, will be Jesus' face. Thank you Lord for taking my son and making him whole, but oh how I miss him.

My brother passed away a couple of years ago from cancer. That's about when this song came out. He was afraid that he wasn't worthy of Heaven or to be in the presence of God. I played this for him, I prayed with him. I believe that he was saved. He was older than me he died at the age of 55. When I hear this I think of my brother Joey and how merciful Christ is. 😎

As lost in sin as I was (still am, I won’t pretend I don’t sin), the words “come find your mercy, o’ Sinner come kneel” and “o’ Wanderer come home, you’re not too far” just made me cry. I reached a breaking point in my sins and in trying to find the love for Jesus I once had. This song broke me, but in a good way. Psalm 34:17-19 “When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.”

I needed this today

Even though I've been a Christian my whole life, I was broken and depressed from a horrible break up earlier this year that crushed my faith and I thought that God wouldn't help me even if I prayed for him to strengthen me, so I gave up. That's when things got worse for me. My friends turned on me. My family got so concerned. It was whenever I heard this song I had started bawling my eyes out and turned back to the Lord because I heard him calling me. I started going back to Church, playing baseball again, uploading KZread videos again, and hanging with my friends. My faith in Christ had come back with the help of this song and many other people and things in my life. I just feel so blessed to be back in Christ's love.

This song means a lot to me. About 6 months ago I considered myself an agnostic. I believed there was a higher power potentially, but wasn't religious and didn't believe in organized religion. I was also extremely depressed and struggled with demons of previous needs I had done. I was in a very dark place contemplating suicide. I had planned out how I would do it. I knew what messages I would leave to loved ones. On one of my lowest days, only a day or two out from proceeding with my plan, my stepmom called me from work. To preface, she never calls and at that point we really didn't talk much throughout the week, but she knew something was wrong. I ended up breaking down to her and not only telling her I wanted to kill myself but why. She had free therapy sessions through her work she set me up with. She also attended a Methodist church. Now, she didn't ever ask me to go or tell me. The invitation was always open. So, a couple of weeks go by and a couple of therapy sessions. I also during this time got on anti-depressants, but was still lost. I decided to go to church one Sunday. At her church, they start with a band and this was one of the songs they played. It spoke so much to me I nearly cried right there. It said everything I needed to hear. Plus, I knew it wasn't a coincidence all the things that were going on in my life. I can now say I'm a firm believer in Christ and this song is one of the reasons why. Don't ignore God when he's trying to talk to you. Don't write off things as coincidences. Try to see the big picture of things. Especially when youre in your darkest hour. That's when He speaks the most. Sometimes its subtle sometimes it's overt. He does anything to get your attention, but you have to recognize it.

Well Lucifer plays a big role in that animosity. He wants all to worship him and puts hate in people's hearts. I think a lot of people also feel that way out of fear, the fear of the unknown and fear of giving up all control to the Lord Almighty.

Needed to hear this! I once was a devoted follower of Jesus. But with the worries of this world and my sinful desires, I slowly slipped away. It hasn't been until recently that I realized how far I had slipped. I've felt hopeless , like I can't come home. When he says, "oh wanderer come home, you're not too far," I realize I can come back to Him and be His again! Thank you Lord for speaking to me in whatever way possible! I am coming home!

He welcomed me with open arms, though I was coming back with scars and baggage that He never intended me to have, He is now helping me to put the past behind me and raise the children He decided to give me instead of a million horrible things that I deserved more. I first heard this song in rehab for a very serious alcohol addiction, I found God, and have been able to stay sober, I've been through so much it's exhausting to even think about. Thank you Jesus, for everything. You have saved me, I am very blessed and things keep getting better as I put my faith into you and follow the right path. I pray for everyone in recovery. If I can do it, you can do it!

Good job man. My ex and I split due to alcohol. I love him dearly. He has faith in God but not willing to do the work. It hurts everyday. Im so proud you overcame it all. God heals all. Keep pushing and never give up

Congrats on your sobriety young man! I’m proud of you and so is god he’s proud you found the right path now. He has kept me on the right path for 9 years now from drugs, then almost 7 months from alcohol as well! He will stand by your side through all trials whether you see him or not just have faith and trust in him, a wise person told me to never say “But god why did you do this?” to everything that has gone wrong and study the story of Job in the Bible you will learn a lot.

You are so right if we can't carry ourselves at times he will!!! He will answer our prayers always and even if we don't pray he is there for us always. He and God have pure perfect love and that's in all of us through his Holy Spirit!!

I just sent this to my brother Keith. He has been clean from opiates and heroin for just under three months. He gave his life to Jesus about 6 weeks ago. He is a brand new Christian, he is very vulnerable to attacks from the enemy. He wants to stay clean and get his life back together. I ask that who ever reads this please pray for Keith's protection from the enemy. Pray for his success on his new chapter. Thank you. Blessings to all.

God has been creeping into my life, particularly over the last year. I was raised on neutral grounds, grew up neutral but with an open curiosity of what else could be. After a rough military experience, this is the first Christian songs to really hit home for me. Add the rest of the "life" we're all experiencing... Before... I could recognize a Christian song just by listening to the intro and honestly would quickly change the channel... I was one of those who would say... "God is for the weak"... but now I'm finding so much strength and fortitude in confiding in Him. It's a growing love and confidence. Our bond grows every day. All the bs. Spill it all out. He is listening. Stay pure in your thoughts and intentions.

Amen to this, it be the toughest people but inside they are the most broken and God knows that. Eventhough, we are very stubborn he loves us and waits patiently he never pushes us to love him he wants us to love him whole heartedly, he doesn't want our love to be forced he wants us to genuinely love him.

Please pray for me. I gave my life to Christ in high school and served God faithfully until I graduated from the college. After college, I fell into sin of fornication and then into alcohol, and I have never fully recovered. Many times, I feel my life is a waste. Please, I need God again in my life. I want to go to heaven. Jesus please, deliver me from this burden. This song touched me and tears flowing as I typed this request.

Look for a song from disciple called whatever reason. Its based off the prodigal son from the Gospel of Luke. Its not by any means a replacement of the parable but same message. You know ur in sin but u want to come to his grace and he is waiting for you...patiently. Be blessed and don't walk run to him as I myself had to relate to that very same message.

Beautiful song for a beautiful God

I recently heard this song and found myself so deeply moved by the opening lyrics: "Earth has no sorrow that Heaven can't heal..." Three beautiful faces came to the front of my mind, each of them a young person that I loved deeply and lost tragically. Each of them having at some point in their lives known of Jesus, the One who rescues us from our despair. Sadly, each one of them giving up and taking their lives before life could get better. I have struggled to glean from this experience something that can communicate that Hope, that answer to the longing in our souls for connection and meaning. Like an answer to prayer, I found the words and melody of this song to be a healing balm. It is quickly becoming an anthem that rings in my ears every day. Every time I think about what I could say to someone who's in that Pit. I want to share it with anyone who visits the page of my beautiful niece, in those moments of missing her, searching for an answer to the question that will always hang in the air that surrounds her passing. Come As You Are - He's waiting for you to call upon His name and receive the peace that is only His to give. Thank you for remaining His vessel, for committing your gift to His glory.

What a beautiful song. I found God when I was going through cancer and had a miracle provided me where God cleared it for me. He has given me a miracle I only wish I had found him alot earlier in life but feel blessed everyday

A few months after I lost my BEST friend to suicide, we saw Crowder live in concert and this song had me breaking down into tears. I felt her and the spirit of GOD ! We had the chance to talk to his wife and wrote our experience for her to share to him ❣️

You did not feel your dead best friend at a Crowder concert. It disturbs me you got so many likes and yet zero so-called Christians correcting you. Read your Bible instead of listening to whatever woo woo witchcraft you've been listening to. When we die, we have no connection to this world at all. It's literally spiritualism to think otherwise. And that's witchcraft. Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 "For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing, and they have no more reward, for the memory of them is forgotten. Their love and their hate and their envy have already perished, and forever, they have no more share in all that is done under the sun."

I love this song, and his Voice. This song fits me perfect. I am now living a sober life after 10 yrs of drug addiction, and 2 of it was on Suboxone. I have been in church for 2yr also. For 2 yrs I prayed!!! God gave me a home, car, and a Good husband who takes care of me and my three kids. Now I have finished my detox today off Suboxone. It was scary, but he saw me through!!! 15th day clean women.

I cry every time, I needed this today, I got the covid vaccine and have been scared it has effected my ability to spiritually connect, for some reason I have felt funny on that level and I have not been able to like i was before if that makes sense? Infact immediately that night of getting second one I was sick as a dog and felt spiritually hollow. But this proves I I still have god in my heart and now feel renewed.

Been listening to this band and this song for so many years.... nobody or nothing is too broken for restoration... just such a beautiful promise from Jesus.

I've strayed away from God so many times. countless times I wanted to throw my faith away. life's been nothing but pain as a missionaries' kid. I failed to recount the miracles he's performed. my God welcomes me back no matter how far I stray and finds a way to guide me back. I pray that my faith won't waiver this time

When I listened to this song, it touched my heart. When I was 13, I was pulled out of my home by DHR and I was put into foster care. Everything went downhill, my grandfather died, my grandmother died, my mother went to jail for drugs, but to this day, I haven't given up on God. Life is a test for heaven. I'm glad I accepted him into my life.

I'm always amazed by the various struggles we all seem to go through in the sin sick broken world. But it's even more amazing how Jesus is with us through these struggles and we will end up in glory fully whole, renewed and prefect forever! Praise Jesus!

So many people walk away from God because they let their circumstances get to them. To those who are struggling, I lift you up in prayer. I’m trying to not let my circumstances dictate nor define who I am.Those who have accepted Christ as their Savior, become Daughters and Sons of the most high. He is bigger and stronger than anything we know. Do not walk away from God. Come as you are and God will change you into what he wants you to be. For your own good, but for His glory. Remember, he is sufficient!

Lift me up dear Lord 🙏

Dear Lord. I lay down my sadness, my shame, my sins, my transgressions. I need to lay down all burdens and shame so that Heaven can heal me. Lord, you are here and alive in my heart and soul. Thank you Lord

My father was a good man but yet he feared death. This song I requested at his funeral mass for all the sorrows he endured in his life and for the peace that was now his. This is a rite of passage song that includes all of God's children and I thank Crowder for its beautiful expression of God's love.

watching this at 2 am, crying because of everything thats been going on for me. this song has to much power and i honestly wish i could believe every word. i'm trying so hard not to lose hope while battling heavy depression, and other mental "illnesses". it's been 6 years and i lost everything. come out of sadness, from wherever you've been, come broken hearted, let rescue begin. come as you are. such powerfull words! i hope he'll be with me, a hand on my shoulder, to help me get back up. thanks crowder, for this beautifull message ♡♡

I'm also battling depression and a lot of mental crap. Having one of the worst two weeks of my life and my relationship with the Lord is the only thing I truly know if that makes any sense. I'm awkward but prayers headed your way!

I've lost my whole town to fire(Paradise, CA), 57 family members, friends, neighbors, etc. I have been homeless twice, been through betrayal and treated shamefully by my church and now I am looking at brain surgery to remove a tumor. Through it all he was there! Through it all he carried me through the darkness and despair! So many took their own lives or died of cancer due to exposure and such, but he has kept me alive through it all! Only through him could anyone carry such a horrific burden without resorting to drugs or alcohol or some other means of escape. Lay down your burdens before Jesus!

This song is like a timeless gospel hymn at first then the chorus is the cry of a tireless preacher calling to the belaguered and jaded people of this century.

Lay down your burdens, lay down your shame. All who are broken, life up your face. Lay down your hurt, lay down your heart, come as you are. ❤

+grant hatfield Hey Grant God loves to use music & lyrics to help us know He's real & sending His love to you. You are nearer to knowing Him than you think. He has put eternity in your heart so when you recognize Him loving on you, you can open up & receive Him. When you are ready ask Him to come close to you & trust Him like a friend. God created music and our ability to perceive and enjoy it. It makes sense for him to use it to reach us. We are his instruments to reach out to each other. Keep listening.

I have never felt good enough at anything, but I thank God for His faithfulness to repeat that I am over and over again. I trust someday it will stick.

This song touches me so deeply every time I listen to it...and that is often. Thank you, Lord, for letting this broken sinful person that I am, come as I am to You. ❤

my testimony is this, I was in a really dark place in my life and was hopeless. I was getting in trouble with the law, drugs, things my family would not approve of. I was raised in a family where we were brought up in a church home. My grandfather led that. My parents were not really the church-going type especially my dad he was catholic. I found my peace in God many years ago but ended up slipping. several years later, God placed a woman in my life who is devoted to Jesus. We now often study together now more than ever and improving our marriage or re-imagining it. God is good! I have been baptized in a southern Baptist church here where we live. 'COME as you are" means it doesn't matter what you look like, feel, what you've done. you ask for forgiveness, and you will be forgiven. it will be long gone, when you die out of the flesh, in the book of life, what you did will be no more. God has given me beautiful family, beautiful wife. I nearly took it for granted but i came to him to help me. He has never stopped and he wont and he will do the same for you! TO God be the glory! Amen, hallelujah!!

Never stop reaching, until you've given that shame and guilt to Christ in such a way that you can sing this song without sorrow in your heart, but JOY, and instead of a heart-cry to God for a place to lay your own burdens, you sing it as a call to others, who felt the very same way. There IS a way. JESUS is that way. God bless. 🕊&🙏

Thanks for your recommendation of the Cardinals by Wonder Years. Had a great driving beat and thought provoking, somewhat paradoxical, message. The song seems to convey the message "I'll never let you down again" while the scene portrays an exhausted man carrying another and he stops running after realizing that he missed the ambulance. This seems to be the opposite message conveyed in the Crowder video. One message is filled with hope and the other is fatalistic. I guess which one is the "real message" would depend upon the disposition of the listener/observer. I'd take Crowder's message every time.

When my heart is overwhelmed lead me to the Rock that is higher than I am. Jesus is the Rock and the Great I am🙌

I am so Blessed! With all of God's grace. Everyday I am blessed in one way or another! I am so very grateful! 💜
