Love Paul Hester's vocals on this, and of course his drumming. Amazing voice. Full of pure emotion and a beautiful, natural rasp We miss Paul Hester.

Amazing group. Neil Finn doesn't get the recognition he deserves as one of the great songwriters and performers of his era. I don't say that lightly. I've attended many of their concerts. Crowded House fans always know Finn's beautiful song lyrics and sing even when Neil stops. Such a rare talent, he is.

Probably the best TV performance I've seen for Crowded House. Neil and Hester vocals are spot on. Mark Hart adds a completeness. Lots of energy. Distant Sun is one of the best songs on their best album. Should have been a massive hit in the US. It's their last song to chart in the US.

Neil Finn doesn't get anywhere near enough credit for his singing voice. He's sensational.

Perfect..just a perfect performance. You can see it gradually dawning on Neil that they are delivering perfection by the time he reaches the end of "...but I offer love." and you can see him revelling in the moment. I love the power of melody and musicianship.

How on earth can anyone dislike Distant Sun?

@@jackkallemdjian3945 Yes. He was a musical genius and just a generally funny man. Who knew? Sometimes those that are gifted in that way are like that. They can be ticking timebombs because they see the world and themselves, very differently. Very sad.

The song that got me through 200+ days of lockdown 2020 - 21. Each year that passes it means more.

What an amazing song and live performance

The vocals in this performance are superb. The backing harmonics by Mark and Nick... Haunting. Even better, is how Neil and Paul's voices complement each other perfectly. This is real music.

Fantastic mix too, especially for live TV.

Saw them last night in London; opened with this! Glorious evening - go see them if you can nab a ticket.

High mark for this band. They were very very good. Unpretentious great song writers & players.

This song makes my soul explode with joy.

As a fellow Kiwi now living in USA I have seen the boys live many times. I think this was one of the best performances of their career. They worked their asses off and I am so proud to be both a kiwi and an Australian (yes I lived their for many years to). Well done Crowded House and thank you for all the years of great GREAT music. I am keeping you guys alive by blasting your songs around America

Mark Brady I think I have to agree I've seen many other performances but this is the best.The vocals and harmonies are bang on and they are playing with a lot of emotion

Spring 94, happened to be sitting in front of the tv and they came on ( As it was then...)This version kicks ass. Then saw them in Boston a week later. Could never ever understand why this band was not huge in the States. In music circles they were revered by all from Eddie Vedder, Elvis Costello, and Dave Musatine ....

@@TheReubenKincaid I know Don't Dream It's Over and a couple of other hits made it fairly big over here in the USA but these boys have had a dynamite career. Before forming Crowded House Neil and his Brother Tim were in a band called Split Enz (New Zealand) and they were huge. Tim split off after 10 years of smash hits and formed his own band and they are still going. Love those boys!

Mark Brady Loved The Enz. I Got You was my intro in 1980. Then MTV in the early days played them. Then they vanished. I remember in early 87 reading a blurb in Rolling Stone about CH . The borrowed a mic tape from a bud that had DDIO then I was a fan ever since

You are the first to ever claim to be both a kiwi and from Oz. They are both distinct and separate countries and the kiwis I know, having lived there for 3 years would never claim to be from Oz. It’s a insult .

This gets better with each listen. Great performance!

Does anybody remember hearing a song on the radio for the first time, loving it, and then realizing half way through it was the new song from your favorite band? That was this song for me.

We're pretty small-time and keep our chops up by playing senior's homes but we hope to do a full all-ages show or two this summer. Played Canada Day last year just outside of town and it was a blast!

Finest band and greatest performance by without doubt the greatest singer songrwriter of the generation .

Seems like it used to be that you couldn't get your international break in New Zealand, so you had all this talent coming over to Australia to get on the world stage. And us Aussies were perfectly happy to take them and claim credit. Now it seems NZ is getting the recognition it deserves :)

I've had the honour and pleasure of singing onstage with Neil, such a brilliant and humble Man. This was a fantastic performance and well mixed for TV.. for once 😁

It might be 1993 but honestly this music sounds timeless then and now, how many bands have managed that?

That, my friends, is PURE TALENT!!!

I remember when they released this song and hoped that people would have embraced it more. Still one of my favorites. Another 90's band (thinking of David Glasper and Breathe) with SO much more to offer than what the masses actually heard!

These guys were at the top of their game at this time. Just a fantastic piece of songwriting, you can't match the vibe.

By the sound of it the audience fully realised they had just witnessed a perfect performance of a perfectly written and crafted song. I love the alternating vocals of Nick and Hessie

Crowded House always had phenomenal vocals and great melodies that were imprinted on your mind on the just the first listen. As a techie I am puzzled how the stereo sound is perfect on this clip while the video is less than stellar. Since sound is more important than video I am still happy.

We Still mourn Paul Hester's Death. Such a great Soul, Awesome drummer, gentle soul. Depression is a killer, even if takes over you, Don't deprive us of your beauty by taking your own life. Paul will live forever as long as we speak of him. So let's continue the conversation for all who have travelled this dark road and obliterate it's toll.

They smashed the song here. What a performance. I love Neil’s big smile at 2:30 when the solo kicks in. I’m guessing he’s just getting that big buzz we all get when we hear magic moments in music but it must feel a lot more powerful when you’re there creating it.

An amazing performance of one of my favourite songs ever.

Crowded House themselves will tell you they are an Australian band. Formed in Melbourne. I've heard them say it from the stage at many shows. Especially when they are back playing in their "hometown"!

i now realize why this song speaks to me so much, why it has always made me tear up. Neil, you are an amazing songwriter. what you write, what you sing, is just awesome and amazing. keep doing it, love! ChizelMonkee, keep churning out what you can of these fellows' music, because it always touches my heart in some way.
