I have never seen a crowd so enthusiastic to encounter a Ratha-yatra procession as that watching the Gasparilla Pirate parade in Tampa, as Visvambhar Prabhu and devotees from Alachua, Gainesville, and Tampa chanted Hare Krishna and danced for three hours in jubilation. Viewers perfect their sight seeing Jagannath and their touch by touching the passing devotees. Not allowed to distribute literature, devotees share lollipops with the crowd.
