I this video I want to show you how to grow croton plant in water
Most of the times when we grow any plant in water we did lots of mistakes, so to avoid that and for 100% results i share this video with all of you
STEP BY STEP PROCEDURE TO GROW CROTON PLANT IN WATER
1) Always choose strong branch & it should be brown in colour
2) Cutting equipment should be clean by handwash so bateria & fungus should be kill before cutting.
2) Cut branch or Steam by any cutter but cutter should be sharp so it can cut brach or steam easily, cut edges should be clean.
3) Select proper pot for steam to grow
a) Pot should be transparent
b) Insure that branch should stand straight, so it will help root to grow fast
4) fill half water in pot, Insure that 50% steam outside water
5) keep pot in good light area, so it will grow fast
6) Change water every day whenever root's not develop, ones root's develop on branch change water ones in 3 days
7) we get result in 22 days but you may get result same day or different day because it's completely depende on lighting conditions, temp & selected pot
8) ones leaf & roots looking healthy you can transfer it to soil but of you want to keep continue in water you can keep
9) for long period of time if you want to keep in water you should hide bottom ( Roots ) portion of plant and expose leaf and top Portion in good light, you will get best results.

If you grow this plant in soil, then you should have to take care of this plant in following ways
Crotons have a reputation for being fussy plants, but that’s partially related to the fact that they don’t like being moved much - they like to stay in one place.
LIGHT
Crotons love bright light and thrive in it, and in fact require it to produce those stunning multicolored leaves. But they also don’t like to be burned by the sun. If you are in a very hot or dry environment where the sun is oppressive, it is a good idea to put some shade cloth up so that they can absorb less of the direct UV rays during the heat of the day. If grown indoors, they do prefer brighter spots near windows or under grow lights.
WATER
Like most tropical plants, crotons like humidity. It’s often beneficial to set your croton plant on top of a rock tray with a little water in it to help keep the moisture up around the plant. If you’re raising yours as a hanging plant, occasional misting will also help increase the ambient humidity. However, they also don’t like to have wet feet, so it’s best to only water them when the top half-inch to an inch of soil is dry to the touch. When you do water them, water until it starts to come out of the bottom of the container, then wait until the soil dries out again before rewatering.
Crotons can be susceptible to over-watering. If you find that your croton’s leaves are wilting, that may be a sign of too much water. If the lower leaves are drying out or falling off, that’s a sign of under-watering and your plant’s thirsty.
SOIL
Crotons prefer a well-draining soil with lots of organic material. Most good potting soils are fine, and an ideal range for the soil pH level is between 4.5-6.5 pH. High pH rock soils are not advisable, as are soils that are very calcium-rich.
FERTILIZER
A popular fertilizer type for crotons is an 8-2-10 mix, as they tend to like a lot of potassium. Most often, they’re fed once in the early spring (Feb-March), and then again in the late spring (May), giving them a good slow-release acidic fertilizer that will feed them throughout the summer months. Younger plants may require a third feeding somewhere mid-July. Don’t fertilize in the fall, as the leaves need to mature and harden off before winter.

Agar apne new cutting lgyi hai to change water every day for 7 adays after 7 to 15 days change after 3 days 15 to 30 days, Change after 5 days 30 days on word only top-up water no need to change water

Patti nikalne tak daily water change kerna hai to pani change kerne time paudha ager mis place ho jata hai to any issue. Aur pani kitne dino tak daily change kerna hai...pls reply...ur video is very informative...good job...
Hello Sir, My croton lost all the leaves in winter, but there are some leaves on the tips. Should I prune the branches, will the new shoots come out ?

No do not just keep it in bright light area water when it's top soil dry slightly allow more leaf to come on branch after that prune it

It requires light, If you keep in such place where 1 to 2 hr sunlight coming then no problem and remaining light should be bright light. Plant will grow healthy

@@fishesplants9374 you have better options as for as climate is concerned. In ncr delhi, summer is scorching and winter are shivering. Both seasons not suitable for most of plants especially succulents.
