I believe blind willie would have been in awe of thier rendition !! Its haunting and hits deep in the soul 2010 was one of the best cross roads festivals ever 👍

Love this song and wondered where Doyle got it from. So I've just sat here and listened to every video on KZread of every artist that's ever done this song. Everyone from Blind Willie Johnson, Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, Mellencamp, Fish etc.... I must say Doyle's version puts everybody else's to shame. Ofcourse, I may be a little partial to DBll because my God there's nothing Doyle, the best voice ever, the best badass left handed upside down and backwards guitar playing God, the best song writer and last but not least the finest sexiest man alive can't do. This song by Doyle, and only his version, makes me wanna sing, dance and smile til it hurts. Love love love me some Doyle Bramhall ll 24/7 365 days a year every year since Arc Angels. I watch Crossroads and own them all just for DBll and Clapton. A match made in heaven.

Wow, so good. It would've been even better had that transition to jam/riff at 4:00 went on for another 10 minutes :) I saw this one the Palladia channel (Comcast Chicago) and had the soundbar and subwoofer on and I couldn't believe my ears. The bass is incredible in this song if you have the right set up. Granted this is at 480p and I was watching at 1080p, so sound quality might be impacted, but still, good good stuff !!

hungerstriker27, No relation but here's some info for you, hope this helps. Bramhall joined The Chessmen with Jimmie Vaughan while in high school. The group opened for Jimi Hendrix when he played Dallas. In 1969, he moved to Austin and formed Texas Storm with Jimmie Vaughan. In the 1970s, Bramhall formed The Nightcrawlers with Marc Benno, which also included Jimmie Vaughan's younger brother Stevie Ray Vaughan on guitar. While in The Nightcrawlers, Bramhall co-wrote the tune "Dirty Pool," which appeared on Stevie Ray Vaughan's debut album, Texas Flood. He would write or co-write several other songs for the younger Vaughan, such as "Life by the Drop" from SRV's The Sky Is Crying album, and he played the drums on the Vaughan Brothers only album, Family Style.[1] Bramhall released his debut solo record in 1994, which included appearances from the Vaughans and his own son. He also collaborated with Jennifer Warnes in the 1990s.[1] He is the father of singer and guitarist Doyle Bramhall II.

Do your homework and shut the hell up unless you know what you're talking about. He doesn't claim to be a great lead player. He wants to be known as a great songwriter, which he is.
