This week I try out my first set of "Target" Arrows. The Cross X Hurricane Octagons. A great arrow, with a horrible name.
Жүктеу.....

The brown truck dropped off a box of these today. 700spine, and a dozen 120/140gr Aero points. I stripped a couple of the vanes, and fletched up one with 2-fletch 4" shield left helical, the other bare shaft. I glued in the points at full weight 140gr. Give them a couple days to cure and do some testing. I figure they should work nicely with my 30-35# stuff. Thanks for the info here, I don't usually see these 32" shafts at the softer spines.

Nice review as always. I have to say, it really hurts looking at the box with "Faster THEN a Storm," instead of THAN. Oops! Looks like Cross X didn't proofread.

Last comment 😂. I’m not into 3D, I’m into Olympic Recurve & asiatic recurve bare bow (an English long bow if I can afford a good one) target. I’m subscribing specifically you included a final, 1 month usage, summary of this review. I don’t remember anyone else on YT that would offer a long term use recap (except one of the product or tool review channel)

On the subject of the nocks, they should be push on only. No need to glue. All new arrows I buy nowadays are with pin nocks. Best thing since sliced bread. Should see the no. of grooves on the pins after a while. Not lost an arrow to Mr. Hood since converting, and only had to replace a handful of pins, to quite a few more nocks.

Will never go back to glue for my fletching. The tape is incredible. Thanks for the in depth review.

Sand paper or file the back end of the points to knock down that 1 or 2 grains.

Great review, thanks for sharing. I recently tried some 2-fletch (4" shield cut) left helical on 32" 400 spine with 275gr up front. They fly great too, and right with the bare shaft.

I watched Greg shoot these all day today. They flew extremely straight. I took a shot with one and it flew like Dr. Evils' "Laser Beam". little low mass for my bow (5 or 6 GPP) but they fly incredibly. This is now a paid comment and I don't intend to buy any instead of my beloved Easton Axis trad. Everyone else should get some. We had a blast making fun of the arrow's name. :-)

I tried fletching tape. On 6 arrows. The next morning due to the slight curve of The feather three had risen. Yes I had set the tape as per a number of instruction vids here on KZread. I deduced the Bear Paw hunter extreme have shiny & matt visual texture. A few more attempts to get them to stick with the tape none doing, I glued the fletches. Within a week I had glued the other three (flexit, warrior shafts) maybe it was the tape? Maybe the Irish weather?

You should pick " Cross-X Fulmen" arrows, best target arrows ever....
