Ok got the structure (until the long extended shuffle on the last verse - that's proving a bit tricky). Took me a week of doing nothing else in lockdown, practicing about 7 hours a day. My playing needs a lot of tiding up but I've wanted to play this for 30 years and your lessons were invaluable for that. Many many thanks !

Awesome to hear brotha! Took me twenty years to get it right. I really feel good playing it as of last year haha. But my advice is all in the timing. The little bass kick in before the IV chord is key. You have to stay in timing always to keep the song afloat. Glad you are enjoying the lessons.

@@DeltaLou If I really work hard I may get it down in 19.5 years :P I think I got it this quickly (think I've just blown my shoulder from holding guitar too many hours a day) because I've spent the last couple years learning Hill Country Rhythms, the beats can be in odd places and the thumb needs to be on autopilot. You're totally right, it's all about the base notes. I think I'm about set for more of your lessons now, if I want to cry I think I'll try Charlie Patton next :D Thanks again man.
