    You are too sweet, Jan! Thank you for watching and your sweet comment! I am so glad I could help...just make sure to cook them for all of 40-45 for fall off the bone. :) This was the very first video I made and the first time using my CPE. I realized when I made them again a few weeks later, without even knowing it I must have let it do a natural release for 15 minutes in this video! It definitely needed that extra time so make sure to set the time to 35 or 40 minutes and feel free to let the pressure naturally release. You really can't mess these up! You can also get the printable recipe on my blog and come join our my new facebook group for recipe shares! facebook.com/groups/293530221348191/

    Me Skippy You just made my day!!! Welcome to the Express Crock fam! You are going to love it! After cooking these a ton, I recommend cooking for all of 45-50 min and then doing a natural pressure release for 10-15 min. Then release the valve to let the rest of the steam out. It all depends on how fall off the bone you want them! You can’t go wrong!😋 Enjoy!!!

    One thing that has always amazed me is that anyone who has ever seen a barbecue contest show knows that if the bone falls off or comes out clean the ribs are overcooked. But so many people on here will say "Fall of the bone" I am not sure if they are aware that if the bones fall off like that then it is overcooked. I know I don't mind if the bones can come out clean, but then again I am not an expert when it comes to cooking ribs. I wonder how many people don't mind if the bones do fall off cleanly?

Although I have yet to make beef ribs, when I do so in the future I would definitely do 45-50 min with a natural pressure release of about 10 minutes. 25 min!Perfect. As with any other cooking device. Practice w/different times on different meats. If these ribs are cooked longer the ribs will fall off the bone in a bad WAY. Shredded meats like pulled pork are wonderful but you don't want all your meats like that...

    Linda Richardson we like them fall off the bone and for that to happen they must cook for a total of 45-50 minutes total (including pressure release or not). After now cooking these so many times, I recommend 25-30 minutes by pressing the meat/stew button, BUT with a NATURAL pressure release of 20 minutes which I didn’t say in the video. 😅 Give or take a few minutes here or there is fine. You can get the printable recipe card on my blog - link is in the description section here! Hope that helps and please let me know if you have any additional questions! • @crockpotempire

    I have the 6 quart and it is great, but would also love to have the 8 quart! 🤩 I can cook a 5 lb. roast and a 7 lb. turkey in the 6 quart so I would say if you cut up the roast you may be able to get 8-10 lbs in it. The turkey is a bit different, because of its shape. I would say no more than 8 lbs. Also, if you go with the 8 quart make sure to double the liquid! 😉 You will absolutely love it!!!

  • @7389

    @7389

    4 жыл бұрын

    Oh wow, thanks for the answer. 😊 I was going to buy the 10 quart because you can put up to 15-16 lb pieces of meat inside they say, but I really don't need one that big. The 10 quart machine is also HUGE. I only cook for two, and like leftover turkey for Thanksgiving, so I usually go with 9-10 lbs. So the browning feature on these devices are for searing before pressure cooking and not browning after? (forgive my ignorance, I have never used one) Thank you, and I can't wait to try those ribs!!

  • @crockpotempire

    @crockpotempire

    4 жыл бұрын

    7389 Glad I could help in the decision process! If you only cook for two and want leftovers an 8 quart will be plenty big. You could even do a 6 quart, but my motto has always been and will always be go big or go home! 😜 Yes, this is meant to sear your meat or sauté anything prior to cooking, but as long as you discard the liquid you can certainly heat anything up and brown leftovers!
