I made this hat and I just love it! It was easy to make and it didn’t take a long time. I leave in Ohio so the weather is unpredictable at times. It can go from 50 degrees today and be -10 degrees tomorrow. This hat saved my face and head from the cold. I’ll be making it again for me and gifts. Thank you!

Just saw the first video. Then I see update ❤! The 6mm seemed too large for me. I rarely use that size. 1st one follow the pattern. Yippee 🎉
I decided to try this with #4 Caron One Pound, color Deep Violet. It is a yarn with a lot of body, so it took 18 rounds on the neck to reach 8 inches, and that was giving a little stretch to the project. I almost abandoned it as it was so stiff until I got to the 8 inches. It's going to be lovely and toasty on an icy cold day this winter. Or a windy cold day. Next time I will use another #4 yarn brand, but a little thinner to get a looser drape. I've noticed darker colors in many acrylic yarns have more body than light colors of the same yarn.

Caron pound is very dense. I made a Balaclava with it. The color was stunning. It heavy and hot. You can loosen your tension or go with a J hook and you should get more drape.
Love it 😍
I just made this today but from your old video, I didn't realize you had updated this. mine turned out great I love it. I did make mine a bit longer because I was afraid it would be too small. I have a longer than average neck. I made it too big but i kind of love it. It made it more floppy but it works out for me. fun easy pattern, thank you very much :)

I would love to see a video for a smaller size. Or instructions to make smaller.
I love this so much I've been able to make a couple now. I was wondering if you would be able to do a video showing how to make the hoodie rounded rather than having a point? Thank you for teaching me! And for the others learning this pattern if you go to settings and put the playback speed slower it helps so you can do it along with her, that's how I did it and now I can do it faster like her.

I was wondering about rounding out the point as well. I think either some decreases in the center in the final few inches, OR short rows that leave out a central wedge in the last few inches before joining along the top. The way to find out is EXPERIMENTING!😊. Thank you for a straightforward and clear pattern tutorial!

Tata, fertig!

when you make one dc in each stitch in row2, then you have 70 dc, am I correct, or with the first 2 chain at the beginning you have 71 dc? I'm a newbie, before starting the row for front&back post double crochets, how many dc do we need to have?
@isiah180
Жыл бұрын
I believe you would count that initial ch3 as one dc. It establishes the height AND acts as your first dc. Some other projects, you'll find that people don't count the ch3 as a dc, but instead just to establish height. It varies from person to person, project to project. When in doubt, just follow what the tutorial says. Also, you are correct about the 70. You should have 70 dc all-around for the neck portion
3:02 when I turn mine inside out and start to sew it together, the starting loop is on the bottom of the project, not on top like in the video. How can this be? If I turn it around for the starting loop to be on top then its facing the opposite side as you are doing. Im confused. :(
Where is the pattern?
