Hope you enjoy making this Triceratops with me!!

    I love this Dino. Such a cute design. I found the video hard to follow though. When you would say single crochet increase for example, I am used to written patterns that would mean ( sc, inc) but after messing up a few times and rewinding I then understood what you meant. Maybe having the round and then the written instructions for that round show at the top or bottom of the video would be helpful. Being that you were counting every stitch out loud I found myself having to stop it a lot so it didn’t mess up my count. But like I said in the beginning, super cute Dino!

    As a beginner, some eye placement instructions would help, who would know which way is up and down? It appears obvious but you can’t takeaway safety eyes or reposition them once you have crocheted the body, or not easily. Up to this point, everything is so straightforward. Thank you for your patience.

    Thank you so much for your recommendation! I will implement that in my future videos! Incase you are still struggling with the eye placement, the eyes should be placed on round 5, 5 stitches apart. I am so glad to hear that you have been able to understand the pattern so far!!! Thank you so much for your comment!🥰❤❤

    @@sweetcreekpatterns Thank you for taking the time to answer me, I only taught myself to crochet a couple of weeks ago, I am 56, so I am appreciating all the tutorials, I crocheted a brontosaurus last weekend, and this weekend I am crocheting your triceratops, a ‘different’ egg laying angle for Easter, that said I have also crocheted many chickens, a tortoise, a jellyfish and an octopus, oops an two beanies…so much to learn! I worked out the eyes, we will have to wait and see if I got it right, it’s all a learning curve. Goodnight from the Uk, keep up the good work, it truly is appreciated. 🙂

    @@sweetcreekpatterns Good afternoon, I am in awe of you, and a little envious, to be taught a skill at such an early age is a wonderful thing, at 7 you are so receptive, and it is with you for life. I believe children, girls and boys should be taught crafts, skills, cookery and house husbandry, they are so important, and I find a comfort. Keep up the good work, at 14 the world is yours to own. Oh, I am also extremely envious of the snow in your introduction, this 56 year old Grandma love, love, loves the snow, and where I live in the Uk we haven’t had any this winter 🙄.

    Anyone else's triceratops topples forward?

  • @sweetcreekpatterns

    @sweetcreekpatterns

    2 ай бұрын

    The triceratops is naturally a little head heavy. I would recommend either moving the front legs forward or angling them forward. Also, if you didn’t have the back legs on the side of the body enough it will make it more likely to topple forward. Let me know if there is anything else I can help with!
