Bless your heart for sharing such an amazing pattern. My mum showed me how to crotchet and knit when i was younger than 12, i learned fast and helped her make items for my younger siblings, then made cardigans for my own kids obviously as an adult but not made anything for years. I am going to crotchet my first blanket and it's going to be this pattern. Your my favourite at learning knew patterns

I would also use a larger hook if using the same yarn as this person ,for a looser drape as it's rather rigid for a blanket,I feel.
