is the length of the foundation chain the length of the finished product? meaning do i need to make it longer because its gonna become shorter?

Yes. I've made a few and they do end up being a little shorter. I usually start with between 60-70 chains.

Its highly requested to please give English subtitles mam.. You are the only one, whose tutorials are best nd understandable. But only problem comes with language in all videos. Please mam give subtitles in english.. PLZ. PLZ. PLZ.

You can use the spiral as a decoration, as a wind spinner, they are also used as tentacles for crochet squids, there are different possibilities.
