I'm making this hat today!

I have a question. I love this pattern but I am having a hard time with the connection of the seam. I started over because when I was crocheting the first time, to make it connect like yours, I ended up with too many stitches. Now that I have restarted my connected seam looks like it’s at an angle. Can you help me out?

OMGosh, my son & daughter will love these...! 1) Do you classify these two projects a beginner, easy or intermediate? Also, 2) Will one skein of 326yds complete both the cowl & slouchy hat??? I want to be sure to have enough yarn on hand to get these done for them. Thank you in advance for answering both of my questions above... TYSM for this tutorial today. I love it.

Hi Lori, 1) I would classify these as easy. 2) You would need around 2 skins. I had a little bit left over from 2 skins when I did it

I have a question. At the end of the row with the long loops, are we continuing to add an extra stitch?
