Crochet join for squares using dc2 together, easy tutorial Crochet Nuts
Another method of granny square joining using crochet. This tutorial uses a double crochet together method for a more open weave join. Stitches used are (US terms) dc2 together. I am using DK yarn but any yarn can be used for the squares and join stitches. The hook used for the join is a 5.5 mm. Suitable for a crochet beginner.

Lovely. I'm going to try this join on a granny square cardigan to connect the back panel to each of the front side panels. It seems to have a more flexible feel to it than other methods which won't leave a stiff side seam I'm hoping. Thank you for this vid.
I'm honestly impressed at how smoothly you can crochet with those finger nails.
Worked well when I needed to join 2 pieces that weren't exactly the same stitch count. Thank you!!

Thank you, I really like this join
My husband and I have the same puzzle wedding rings as yours. My first silver versions of the same came from being stationed in Europe and seeing them coming from Turkey. We decided we wanted them for wedding rings when we married over a decade ago. My ring is 14k gold and his is 14k tri-colored gold. Our first promise rings were silver. I refuse to wear diamonds since learning of DeBeers marketing. Diamonds are not rare, they are just severely controlled release of supply and, of course, the Blood Diamond movie as well. If I get bored, I can take off my ring and play! Thanks for the crochet tips, too! Merry Christmas!
That's really lovely. Beautiful squares and a beautiful join!

When you join the two tog are you going thru the front or bottom
Is there a reason you skip instead of DC in every stitch?

Yes, skipping gives a better finished join :)
Hi there. Gorgeous squares and fabulous connection. I'm able to stitch all horizontally but then when it's time for vertical - oh boy...could you please let me know? Do you go along or just square by square?
@CrochetNutsTutorials

I go all the way along vertical and horizontal for a neat finish
