I'm not sure this question. I use a single elastic for knitting or the number of stitches. I don't count how many there are. I knit to the end, backing up the elastic. 😊😊

Hiya, how many stitches do you need to put at the start to have enough for the flowers to be evenly spaced please? Also do you join into the first stitch or the chain one space at the end of the rows please?

Make hdc cover the rubber band, but if counting, give 3 chains per pattern or if not count Give the last part if it doesn't fit. Can skip, no problem with flowers.
