Things I did not expect to learn: Nail polish can be a great help in teaching! Those dark thumb nails really helps me see what you're pointing at, and it makes it very easy to follow your tutorial. Aside from that it looks like a very pretty stitch - but also one that takes up a LOT of yarn, so I'll keep it in mind when I next come across a great yarn sale, because I can definitely imagine a scarf in that stitch.

(Just did a swatch in some cheap cotton on a thin needle - and even without great yarn it's still a pretty pattern! And easy as you promised in the title...)

I know this is an older video and may not hear back from you, but I have a question about the stitch. I have only completed 2 rows but find there are gaps everywhere. Looking at your video I notice the same thing happening before you "completed" the sample. Once it's all done, it looks way more full and no noticeable gaps. Is there something I am missing? Does it just take more rows to sort itself out? Thanks for your time, and thank you for this tutorial!

Also checkout bobwilson123. When I was first learning she was a lifesaver. The more resources, the better I always say! Good luck everyone! Remember: don't grip the hook too tightly and pay attention to your body. If your arms and wrists hurt, put the hook and yarn away for a bit ;) (stuff I wish I'd listened to, when I began)

Love this pattern - makes beautifully thick pot holders/hot pads when you use cotton yarn! I had found a similar video in Spanish a long time ago and had to translate & watch very carefully any time I wanted to make a project in this stitch. So nice to have an English version! Great work. 💗

For some years now I've wanted to remake a purchased infinity scarf that had large puffy stitches. It looks machine knitted but as a crochet person I thought I could find a stitch similar to remake that small scarf. This looks like a stitch I could use for that. I would like to make it less stiff and tight though so I'm thinking to either do less stitches per puff or to use thinner yarn with the 5 stitches per puff. Very nice tutorial. I write down your instructions so I can look back at them in the future but write them in a way that I can easily understand rather than stitch language which can be overwhelming with it's many abbreviations. I'm a self taught crocheter so your instruction and way of visually showing how to do things is great.

Thank you so much. Instructions were very clear and understandable. Thank you for using yarn and crochet hook that was ease to see. You kept a good pace. Not way too slow or too fast. I'm using this pattern as a part of the lace for my living room curtains. I'm using cotton crochet thread, size 10, and a size 7 steel hook. It's looking great. As most first rows, it was a little slow. But now I'm going faster on the second as the spaces are way bigger. Thank you for your help!

Exceptional teaching skills! The best is your explaining the steps repeatedly, not just twice, but that I got the audio pattern of what was happening, which I will remember when I try this myself. The rug pattern itself is, of course, beautiful with beautiful yarn, but I've never crocheted and will certainly try this...while weaving it into my current knitting projects.

It's simple yet beautiful. I'll recommend this with wool and acrylic yarn only tho, also milk cotton and maybe pp rope...because I usually work with polyester and nylon yarns, and puff stitches pattern didn't look good on them. But this is just my opinion... That's a beautiful yarn you have there, and your nails are awesome! ❤ Thanks for the tutorial, I enjoy it!

Wonderfully clear instructions!! I had such an easy time jotting down on paper what you did because you took your time and explained everything beautifully. Thanks so much for investing time and energy into this free content for us. Some of us aren't entitled brats and appreciate it very much!!! This stitch made a beautiful basket for me and I love it! People ask all the time where I bought it. Thanks again, great video!

This was the easiest to understand and follow I have yet to view. Your voice is soothing and you chose the prettiest colors! Thank you so much from a beginner crocheter.
