Croatia Earthquake 6.4 (Petrinja) Compilation - Part 2 / Potres Sisak 29.12.2020
Part two Compilation of Petrinja earthquake. On tuesday December 29, 2020 a magnitude 6.4 earthquake hits Petrinja, Sisak Moslavina, Croatia with a depth 10.0 km maximum intensity VIII (Severe).
This was strongest earthquake to ever strike Croatia in istrumental modern history, Croatia was one of the most seismicity active in Europe, since 1900 Croatia was struck by 6 earthquake that's reach 6.0 or higher on Richter scale, in 1938 Bilogori was truck by magnitude 6.2 earthquake which left thousands of homes destroyed, in 1962 a 6.2 magnitude earthquake strike Split County killing 2 people, and another one in 1964 a 6.0 magnitude earthquake hits near Slavonski Brod left hundreds of building damage and killed around 5 people.

I'll never forget that feeling... It's like the house was in the middle of an ocean on strong and fast waves. You're helpless, can barely move at all coz it keeps throwing you around. And the sound... I'm just thankful that we're alive

Please read everything. I'm from Croatia. I live near Petrinja. When I felt the earthquake, I was home with my sister. There was no electricity, you couldn't call anyone from the family, those people who survived it, it's amazing. My sister works in the E.R. they called her to go help people. When she came home, she had white hairs on her head from stress. The badst thing that can be is this earthquake that can happen at any moment. The strongest people in the world Our Petrinjčani❤️Let's go Croatian we can save Petrinja. We must save her from the evil that comes at any time!!❤️

It's in a shopping mall, those are built extremely well and he is probably without a scratch. Old buildings (Masonry) are the most damaged. Anything built after 70's is fine, and buildings built after 2008 (When Croatia become part of EU / Eurocode), can stand this all day long. Basically up to 9.0 magnitude should be fine.

@@DoubleM55 uz dužno poštovanje, daj ne kaki. ;) 80% of buildings in Zagreb would crumble to the ground if an earthquake of 7+ hit. Zagreb is absolutely FULL of old buildings that were not made in accordance with anti-earthquake measures.

@@benberkovic uz dužno poštovanje, lupetaš gluposti. Zgrade koje su armirano betonske konstrukcije imaju zanemarive štete nakon ovih potresa. Srušila bi se samo stara jezgra grada koja je građena od cigli i betona.

I had experience 5.7 in salt lake city in march 2020 ago, the sound and the shaking are really creep me out, after that when i heard bus or truck passing my house i think it's happen again, now i realized when i heard a loud noise i would run as fast as i could.

Tko nije osjetio potres i taj strah,nemoze ni znati,nazalost svjedocila sam tom potresu u Petrinji,jednostavno taj strah te natjera,samo da izađes van,da ne pogines!

i from slovenia and i feel this earthquake ... I was at work..I'm a saleswoman by profession , and I worked for the cash register .. I had a queue .. and a half suddenly started shaking ... I only know when I ran out from shop, I just heard behind me what was falling from the shelves.. it's not good feeling ...

Prvo je bilo poplava u Hrvatskoj a onda sad potresi i korone pa STA je ovo ? Ko da se Bog ljuti na sve nas
ja sam malo dalje od zagreba i dosta se osjetio potres, ali nadam se da je sada sve uredu
