🇭🇷 Croatia! Hrvatska! A country at the crossroads of Central and Southeast Europe. This Adriatic nation has been around since the 6th century. From King Tomislav until Yugoslavia's breakup, Croatia has always managed to maintain its own unique, beautiful and rich identity. Because of its geographic position (being half in the Balkans and half in Central Europe), Croatia represents a blend of different cultural circles that meet, intertwine and complement. Brilliant thank you, and the music is hypnotic. I too am fascinated by folk dances. It is like every country has its own "movbement" vocabulary, the way they hold their bodies. I am looking forward to you doing a feature on the Tibetan Gorshey (my favourite at the moment).

Croatia is very beautiful country with its beautiful culture, didn’t knew much about its traditional dances but that was nice sometimes sounds like Italy sometime Balkan sometimes sounds like Central Europe😁 anyways thanks to both of you🎉 now I feel like visiting Dalmatia more than ever 😂 🇭🇷 🟥☀️🟩 🇬🇷

Bosnia and Herzegovina has it‘s own history, culture and people, it has nothing to do with Croatia. Same goes for Vojvodina.

@@Bre-nd7zi Croats are living in Bosnia & Hercegovina, Vojvodina, Montenegro, Slovenia, some even in Kosovo, entire EU. They survived Turkish occupation, didn’t convert to religion of occupier and certainly will not become “Bosnians” in ethnic sense. They are from Bosnia & Hercegovina and they always would proudly say so, would highlight their geographical origin & place of birth.

@@VasilisDanceplease try to find songs and dances from Zagreb surroundings and Banovina and Moslavina. They are quite big part of Croatia. Croatian Radio Television has on KZread parts with folklore festivals. Glina and Viduševac

This is going to be a controversial comment, but I’ve noticed you’ve deleted Israeli dances from your Asia and Mediterranean videos. I guess it has to do with current notorious events. While I absolutely condemn what Israel does with Palestine, I think it’s wrong to exclude them. Regardless of our political opinions, Israeli Jewish people do exist and deserve representation like every other culture. We can (and should) condemn Israeli government and military, but we can’t just erase their entire culture from the areas they are essential part of. Support for Palestine shouldn’t turn into blind hatred or exclusion of Israelis. As a person from Balkans, you probably understand that hate only generates more hate. On this channel you’ve always promoted peace and unity between nations, not division or exclusion, and I really hope it will stay that way, Vasilis. Anyway, this is just a humble opinion of your subscriber. Feel free to agree, disagree or ignore me. I wish you and everyone else reading this comment peace and kindness

Croatia has more than 1200 national costumes. Without Bisnia. Remember more than 1200 different dresses outfits and jewelery no coubtry in the world is rich like Croatia. Makedonia is close still not as we are. I eas dancing and was on the promotion od national costums 40 years ago and was wesring outgit from Pag island today i m.proud of my Croatia. God bless us.

Zavrzlama is serbian dance, all that dances from Knin, Lika, Dalmatia, mostly are serbuan dances because serbuan population lived on that territories until croatia displaced them to serbia and bosnia

That is nonsens. It is just the opposite. That dances are of croatian heritage. The serb population living in regions of Croatia take over that dances and presented it as serbian dances. Second Croatia did not displace them, many of them left Croatia, because they fought against Croatia during the war. Many Croats in Serbia were displaces and expelled from their territory although they did not anything against the state.
