So, i feel like not too many people mention in the nerdy 80s intro, Talesin actually cast a spell, causing Marishas hair to blow, confirm he is actually somehow magical irl.

I think the animated intros are my favourite. Get me so hyped for more Vox Machina, the Mighty Nein that is coming soon, and the inevitable adaptation of Bell’s Hells

The live action Vox Machina intro where they are cosplaying as there character’s so far is still my favourite

yep took me a long time to convince friends to play with me, even then was only a couple times a year. i'd recommend looking for a group online or going to your local stores and trying to find one! It's scary but I recently found a group that's really gelling and fun to play with :)

Writing their own theme songs has definitely worked well for them, and the animated openings are top tier IMO. Like, that animated Bells Hells opening is *art*

The two Mighty Nein intros are absolutely peak CR! ❤

Oh Hells... I don't know all the context for the Animated opening for Campaign 3, But it looked gorgeous to see the characters animated for the opening. That quick flash from Laudna puppeteering Pate to Delila puppeteering Laudna sent chills.

Oh man the OG C1 intro … I remember they also had character backstories that each cast member read but the art’s blurred out for … some reason? They’ve come a long way since Kraghammer.

It's blurred because they had been using some art of their characters that they didn't realize was fan art without permission. So they had to blur it until they either changed the art or got permission to use the art they had

I love the intro where the team comes out dressed like their characters. Travis' look is the coolest in my opinion

I think it's funny because he's really strong but when he's dressed as Grog I can't see him as anything else than scrawny 😂 Even a very well built human can't compare to a Goliath lol

At 3:06, when Ashley enters the room wearing her glasses, I'm thinking it's a nod to a very old interview she did as a 16-year-old girl (she was voicing Gretchen Grundler in Recess). She's saying, "We're looking like our characters to me. He's looking like Gus (Courtland Mead), Ricky looks like Vince, Andy looks like T.J., and I am starting to look like Gretchen... minus the glasses!"

I have to say of all the Critical Role intros , I love the first one from Campaign 3 at it just reminds me of the of an old board game that i played as a kid called Valley Of The Lost Dinosaurs, not to mention the costumes each member of the cast are wearing are incredible.

“Your turn to roll” is such a good song, and then they went and outdid themselves with “It’s Thursday night”. I haven’t even watched campaign 3 yet (almost done with 1 😅) and I love the animated intro, it’s so epic

I love the music and animation. Absolutely adore the cosplay of their characters. :3

The second campaign 2 one is easily the best in my opinion

It’s missing the OG intros with the character art and the players introducing each character while in character… “If you have ale, then you have a friend in Grog Strongjaw…”

I still can't fully except that the main DM voiced like 100 characters in media, like Jotaro, Chrom, Yusuke, HONOR OF HOSHIDO and etg.

I just love the 7:01 when matthew shows up after a magical fart.

I just realized that, the old intros before the Mighty Nein, they use the same rhythm (0:17) in Your Turn to Roll in the part in 4:17, it took me so long to realize

I love the Baldur's Gate theme music on the original intro.

I think one was missed, there was a 'live action' version of the first campaign 3 animated intro, after Robbie left

The cast? They're all voice actors that did worked with each other, or knew someone that worked with another one of them.

As DarthSinistris said, they were all voice actors in a similar sphere. Essentially Critical Role came from what originally was a one shot done as a celebration for Liam’s birthday. If you watch their individual interviews on “Between the Sheets” they talk about origins and how they all got together.

What about the intro for the mighty nein reunion 2 part one shot?

Only wanted to add the main version of each! Felt it was too similar tbh (probably would have added it if I made this now since I had forgot how much was changed at the time)

I prefer the openings that acually show there charakters. I get a lot more hyped and intrestet in the campaigns.

The 2022 one is forever my favorite, because honestly, my heart belongs to Ashley Johnson in overalls. (Plus, I love that style of animation.)

No intro has ever been better than the second intro of campaign 1. Nothing against the animated intros. They're great, but there's something about them in character costumes that just hits different. Plus the song isn't cringe.

Campaign 3 song is the cringiest thing they've ever done.

I am glad they responded to feedback and changed Campaign 3's first intro. It (unintentionally) reeked of colonialism and was in poor taste

Yes and no, while yeah it could give off that energy it felt like live action version of miniatures in a dnd combat map. The reason why I’m not all for it was because we had to deal with that horrendous rotoscoping one for a few months before they released the animated intro. 😂
