The one thing I find most impressive about Ronaldo and Messi: in all these years I've never heard either of them say anything bad about the other. Respect!

I prefer Messi as a player but everyone can admire and learn from this guys mindset and determination. You can be the best at anything as long as you work the hardest to get there, that’s what I get from this guy. What a legend.

I really like Ronaldo, he comes across cocky on the pitch but those are his theatrics. He’s very kind to his fans and incredibly patient. Wonderful to see

The funny thing is that I've always been a fan of Messi's and in the early years, I would always put CR7 down. But in more recent years, as both these mega footballers have matured and developed a mutually respectful and more amicable relationship, I find myself defending CR7 whenever the media, pundits, journalists or his detractors criticise him. Thing is I'm starting to see Ronaldo also as a human being, just one who pushes himself relentlessly to excellence and we should respect that. All that despite Messi still remaining my no. 1.

He's a good footballer and a good person out of it as well. He's got balls to stick up for what he thinks is right. Dissing coca cola and helping Palestinians. He doesn't even drink. What a mad lad huge respect

Cristiano is undoubtedly one of the most prominent figures in the history of football. He is a wonderful person with a kind heart and a great sense of humor. He makes football lively and vibrant. He's emotional. He is not afraid to be real and to show the full range of his emotions and feelings. He doesn't play football. He lives by football. From the bottom of my heart I wish happiness and success to this wonderful person.

Most people may not consider him as good as Messi, but as a person, he's one of the most respectable people out there. I'd say the most respectable athletes. Unbelievable work ethic, confidence and leadership skills.
