Ah, the golden years of United, EPL, and Cristiano! This video brings me such a feeling of nostalgia! Football was so, so much better back then than today! More spontaneous without stupid VAR that only makes things more confusing and messy, tougher, with tougher, real players, who almost all had street origins (ironically, except Messi who spent the majority of his youth in Barca academy), and that just doesn't happen anymore (and it's a shame because footballers with street education and upbringing are the most magical players), with epic rivalries, and much better quality of top leagues than today. Also, Cristiano was just brilliant, he was a brilliant winger during his first spell at United, and he was a more mature, brilliant winger for a few years at Real Madrid. And what pisses me off is how so many brain-dead people now think he was just a striker. It's so infuriating how people who literally have no idea about this game, the game's history, and Cristiano's history, talk nonsense about him on podcasts, in the interviews, etc. And what's worse, there are some bitter ex-teammates of Cristiano who talk nonsense too (yes, looking at you Rooney - you are a pathetic, fat, jealous twat). Cristiano is a giant in this sport and what he has done in his entire career is absolutely spectacular! It's actually amazing that he is still going at 39. I mean, he is almost 40, and he still has amazing stats in Saudi, and Saudi proved much better league than MLS where Messi plays, we have seen that when Saudi teams tore apart Inter Miami in a few matches.

@@WOODYK-ug8ttOh sure...the easiest way to put it would be, Ronaldo just can't do things Messi can. This is why you wont see him dribbling pass 5 players. He just can't. No where near Messi or Neymar. In fact he's quite average in the aspect and this sport has seen many more capable dribblers than Ronaldo. Ronaldo is great goals scorer no doubt, but dribbling, vision, passing, etc. are no where near the likes of Messi or Maradona.

About vision and passing, sure...place Messi in midfield he'll dominate where Ronaldo would again, be nothing special. What's to "paraphrase", it's clear as day that Ronaldo is nowhere near the talent of Messi, Neymar, Maradona, Iniesta, etc. He's greatest strength is his drive, will to be the best. Pretty sure Chelsea were the only contenders back in those days. Arsenal was bad that season. And after this match, MU were 9 points ahead of Chelsea but Chelsea played like 2 games less than United. Pretty sure Chelsea could have won if they didn't fuck in the last 5 matches. You also mentioned United won by 6 points. Chelsea had like 5 points from last 5 games. CR7 is a nobody compared to Messi. Its not even close. CR7 played in big teams that were winnin without him his whole career. Both ManU and Madrid continued being in finals and semi finals in the champions league after CR7 left. Juventus was the best team in Italy when he joined them. When Messi left Barça they went straight to europa league Also CR7 did not even play the 2016 Euro final with Portugal. And in the World cup of 2022 Portugal had a stronger team than argentina if you remove messi and ronaldo! You can like ronaldo but thinking that hes better thats your own problem😂🤣
