People say Ronaldo's lucky yet he's had 9 goals disallowed this season. To be fair, some of them are genuinely offside, but some are also ruled out for a toenail being ahead of the defender. It's been shown that VAR lines are dubious to say the least, so take them with a grain of salt as well. Angles can be deceiving. VAR can't continue to chalk goals off like they're doing, it ruins the game.

Its just a case of drawing a line though. Its easier to say no part of the attacker can be behind the last defender when the ball is played than to start making exemptions for toenails, fingers etc. However, VAR is the problem because i think 3 or 4 of these could have been given in football 10 yrs ago. Now the lino has a backup, if he stuffs up it gets overturned and made right so in any case he may as well put his flag up. If the end call was on him, he would seriously consider both options and make the decision, sometimes incorrectly but hey, seeing goals is always more enjoyable than seeing goals dissallowed. Just my opinion.

The offside rule states that any part of the player with which a goal can be scored, should not be behind the defender. How can a hand or for that matter an elbow be used to score a goal. The VAR needs to consider the essence of the rule first before drawing a line and ruling a goal away.

The goal against Liverpool shouldn’t have been disallowed. Liverpool scored two goals that day that were definately offside but given. VAR is corrupt.

Fast forward 7 months and neither of those things applied in that Arsenal goal. Absolutely scandalous.

Basicaly with new var rules. Ronaldo need for the first second run with a straight back. If he curv his upper body, his shoulder head will he offside. So he need to correct that habit and do the first seconds of run with a straight back

Counter points The luckiest and unluckiest players are probably neither of them. I would say both fall in the luckier category as they managed to stay injury free for majority of their careers, I know Ronaldo has had 1 major knee injury and Messi has had at least 2 major hamstring injuries, but they've been lucky on that front. As for who is unluckier between the 2, it's difficult to say, as you would need to analyze a lot of things, on face value I think Messi has been unluckier. What seems to have been ignored, Messi played for Barcelona in several matches in 2006, his UCL was ended when Chelsea injured him in the Quarter final of which he was the best player on the field. He played enough games in that competition to be awarded a winners medal. 4 goals, 13 assist is not an insignificant contribution, but I agree PSG didn't need Messi to win the league, but their current form suggest and the fact they didn't win last season means a case can be made. But likewise Juventus didn't need Ronaldo to win Serie A, they showed that, this should not discount Ronaldo's 2 Italian League trophies. Yeah Ronaldo won 5 different UCL trophies, but did you know for United in 2008, he missed a penalty in the Semi, and required Scholes to pull a stunner to win against Barca, and even worse, his missed his penalty in the shootout against Chelsea, that directly handed Terry the chance to win it for Chelsea, but lucky for him, Terry slipped. Making competition ending errors at the 2 biggest stage but still having his team save him could be considered lucky, My point, Ronaldo and Messi have had great careers, and you can't undermine one or the other without it coming to bite you back in the ass, you can argue that one is better though, but just make sure you have valid points to back your argument.

Honestly, only the Liverpool one looks absurd, I can agree that the arsenal and Brentford ones look close, but Ronaldo was definitely offside on those, for the Brentford one, he could see the ball, and should definitely have tried to stay behind it, and the arsenal one is actually the reverse of what you're arguing, he would be clearly offside if we weren't looking at a trailing leg, which is the reverse of the he would be onside if we aren't looking at a leaning shoulder. The rest are clear offsides which is why you don't even try to show the lines. I do agree that the lines thing can sometimes be ridiculous, like with the liverpool one. This just goes to show that if you give Ronaldo the chance, he will score.

He can't hate it THAT much. How many goals has he had that were accepted? A lot more than these few but he actually WAS off side on ALL of these almost goals. One of those last ones he was WAY off side and so were half his team mates lol. I'm so glad they have VAR because I couldn't stand that whether it was a goal or not whatever the ref said was what went even if they were clearly wrong. The 2010 WC the US had like 4 to 6 goals that were on side but the ref said off side and when they replayed it, they were on side and the goals didn't count. I can't believe it took them THAT long to initiate something like this. Now the only people getting screwed are those who were actually off side and they can check other shit like if a foul really occurred. I think it's a wonderful addition to the sport.

I agree with you. I had a senior colleague at work who was living well but never had an Investment, unfortunately his work was terminated,so he went from living well to surviving with his family.If he had invested when he was still working, he would have had another source of income.

Investing is a prior decision to make for the future. If you are seeing this and don't have an investment, please do make plans to invest so you don't end up like my senior colleague at work.

This made so much sense, just like he said " for one to invest, the person have to consider an appropriate choice of Investment with at least 1% minimum risk , profits margin, a mentor and expertise to guide and help you manage your Investment portfolio.

Oh its nice to see someone who also benefit's from the services of Katherine Camilo indeed it's a small world. She is my portfolio manager and mentor too for 2 years and still counting and I have made profit of 123,795 USD from my initial amount of $5100 with her managing my portfolio.

It should be as it's been always. If they are both on the same line, the goal stands. Btw if the difference is just a toe nail they are technically still on the same line

But then some referees don't even consider the VAR when they should, like when giving penalties that can decide a game or put the team to the next knockout phase. VAR still needs some more proper rules. Sometimes I see VAR being used for the smallest things, like if the shoulder is one millimeter ahead of the defender. But then a player dives and the referee awards a penalty without checking VAR. VAR should be mandatory for every major decision, not when the referee feels bothered to check.

Offside law was meant to disallow goal hanging. Which is a clear advantage. WHAT IS THE ADVANTAGE WHEN SOMEONE'S ELBOW IS SLIGHTLY OFFSIDE. DONT TAKE LAWS LITERALLY. TAKE THEM IN THE FAIR WAY

The first one he is not off man since when does a small part of the elbow being on the line count as offside
