The mind boggles…I would say it could be an incredible KZread Video (series?) all on it’s own, a different Elvis Impersonator each video describes the weird things they’ve done in Vegas…and elsewhere. Ok so the cockroach and goldfish trick is actually nastier than you think. He must be scouting out the place or otherwise have foreknowledge of what he’s going to be delivering. He swallowing them right before talking to them and then regurgitating them. If you notice when he spits up the goldfish it’s not just the goldfish it’s stomach acids too. The cockroaches looks like he also spit up some bile onto her hand. That was nasty. 🤢

She pretended it was real and even told the fake backstory that Criss wanted her to tell. So clearly, she was an actress. This is why I don't like Criss Angel. Almost all of his audience members are merely actors, and all his tricks are camera tricks. Basically, he's a fraud.

So it’s not difficult to do and it certainly isn’t the first time I burned it but yes, it did burn. If I had said I jumped off of the top of a building to get to my TV or was involved in a hit and run, I could understand your reaction. But hanging up on someone and burning some food on accident? About 20 years ago, I took my 10 year old nephew to see Criss Angel in a small theater on Times Square. He had a totally different persona. He didn’t speak at all in the act. He wasn’t all buff and had long hair with dreads in it. He was total Mr. Goth and had a fan club called “The Loyal” if I recall. The tricks were modest, but impressive. Years later, I was shocked to see the cheesy transformation. One thing for sure is I understood the silent gimmick when I heard his thick annoying Long Island accent. PS my nephew ended up being a professional magician. Great video.

I thought this was gonna be cringy af, and don't get me wrong, it was, but boy is it funny watching Criss Angel try and stay relevant after all these years. Especially since all of his outfits look like he just woke up from a cryo-freeze chamber from immediately after Mindfreak finished wrapping. Never change, Criss lol.

It's fucked up that they let him call himself a magician while coyly slipping "illusionist" in there from time to time. The amount of time it took to prep that prank where he obviously faked ripping that girl in half (I don't know why I even need to say this) lets you know that the tricks are all just fake and there is at least one paid actor in the vicinity of them, with a few unsuspecting spontaneous watchers joining in. For example, I don't care how good of a magician you are, you're not rolling up to a random location with a sheet, having people remove it from you, and then appearing on a rooftop. If you are going to have a "magic" show on TV, you should at least be required to have tricks that involve some skill or expertise, it can't just all be fantasy.

I saw Chris Angel live in Vegas in maybe 2010ish. The tickets were free with our Luxor room. It was awful lol My friends and I got their early and sat in the upper "deck." A producer came up and asked if we wanted to be in the show! How exciting, yes please! We moved to the front row, then we're told Chris was going to hold up this banner that "we" supposedly made and we're supposed to scream like fangirls. Once the actual show started, we could see all the special secret squirrel ways the floors opened, the crane that lifted him to "levitation," etc... It was a real decent day for being a free show with free drinks hahahaha

Even though we live in an age of impressionist content creators and AI that can replicate nearly any voice, I still got excited thinking "did Chris get the same guy to do the intro from Mindfreak!?"

Seeing that magic kit brought 2006 Christmas roaring back in my mind. I saw the infomercial for that thing with my mother in like November and SARCASTICALLY said oh that's what I'd really want for Christmas then laughed with her about then boom, Christmas morning, what do I get? The Criss Angel magic kit 🤦 I felt SO bad for not being clearer with my poor mom 😅

Nah, his tricks are middling and only a few ive seen were hard to recognize how hes doing it. Im pretty sure i spotted wires right after hes said he had to jet for instance. But like i mentioned, hes had a couple tricks that i couldn't even guess at, but most of his stuff is camera tricks,and plants. The part with the knife throwing is a good example. But its not easy to become rich and famous doing magic,and i respect his showmanship, especially if this guy even had to admit his show was actually impressive after all. Ive never seen him perform in person, so maybe hes better than the shows let on.
