That's exactly what I was going to say!! LOL You beat me too it. One thing I also do, is very lightly sprinkle some salt on one side of the shells, after frying.

Omg Rachel I tried these shredded fried tacos. But I can’t eat red meat right. I used chicken I also didn’t fry the tacos I put my own spin on them. I used the spices you used and yes ground them in my mocajete. Everyone is moaning and haven’t stop eating. Your the greatest I wish you and Ron the greatest in 2022 ❤️❤️

My dad passed when I was 7. My Mom was so depressed, all we ate was fast food. (She has since passed, but never emotionally recovered from losing my dad. My Grandma tried, but she did easy stuff like french toast and grilled cheese) My poor family had to eat so many disgusting things,as I had no idea how to cook. Later in my life I had an unintentional eating disorder. I never thought I was fat, just kinda stopped eating. Then I found KZread channels that taught me how to cook. Some on a budget. Some not on a budget, but with plenty leftovers, so it became on a budget. I hope you understand how happy people like me are to have real home cooking videos I always tell my kids when they're telling me how great it is, it's because I've added extra love. And I heard you say your most important ingredient is love in past videos. I'd love to come live with a good home cook for a week. Not 1 that does it for clicks, but someone who really cooks to share what they've learned. Thank you for your videos. It's given me so much to work with. At least now my family likes to eat what I cook. I'm sure it's still not as good as it could be, but it's a start

BTW Rachel, my grandmother from Spain made tacos like you as far as frying them after filling them with the meat....it's a little more time consuming but SO WORTH the extra work to get those crunchy shells to marry with the smooth silky meat!

I subscribed but not just because I like Rachels personable style and presentation (and without having to watch her slice every single tiny bit of produce from beginning to end) but also because we can COPY & PASTE her ingredients list!! Don’t know how she made this possible but… THANK YOU RACHEL!!!!!

Nothing better than refried beans and fried tacos ! My mom always made fried tacos and if you drain I don’t think they are greasy at all. Maybe I’m just used to them . I agree the cabbage just adds to the flavor . Happy New Year !
