CRISPY RED BEAN PANCAKES | 豆沙窝饼 | Vegan Snack

Crispy Red Bean Pancake filled with homemade red bean paste and pan fried to golden crispy. This pancake is a popular snack that serve as a dessert or dim sum.

Recipe:
Red beans paste:
400g Can of red bean, drain out the liquid
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp oil
Pinch salt
Dough:
2 cups flour (250g)
1/2 tsp salt
150ml warm water
1 tbsp oil
Method:
1.) Place all the red bean paste ingredients into a food processor. Blend till smooth paste.
2.) Cook the red bean paste over low heat till the liquid is evaporated. Remove from the heat and set aside.
3.) Mix together all the dough ingredients and knead till soft dough. Cut the dough into two portions. (Cover the rest of the dough to prevent it from drying out).
4.) Roll the dough into long log before rolling it out into a thin rectangle wrapper.
5.) Spread the red bean paste evenly on the wrapper (avoid the paste to be on the edges). Fold the wrapper into rectangle and seal the edges.
6.) Generously sprinkle with sesame seeds. Use the rolling pin to press the sesame seeds (so it will stick to the wrapper).
7.) Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a frying pan. Pan fry both sides of pancake till golden brown.
8.) Remove from the heat and cut into bite sizes. Enjoying

    It's just regular normal all purpose flour. All other online recipes use normal flour.
