I found it really interesting that he kept talking about "fixing this for the future" but he never even said what this is. "Lives were lost." And I would find his planning for his future concerts so hurtful if he hasn't even addressed the needs of the families that have lost their future.

@@Rae777 man Travis and his team knew what they were doing with this interview. I'm not placing the blame on Travis himself 100% or even 50%. In the video I'm sure he's hyper aware of how is able to and not able to answer stuff. Travis is an artist and a brand with a LOT of brands invested in him behind just his music which is probably a small part of his income compared to deals with Nike, McDonalds, Anheuser Busch (who just dropped him), Cactus Jack Merch, and of course touring. Also they for sure put him by Charlamagne, who is often looked at as a sort of rap villain, to play "hardball" and make Travis seem more docile by comparison. It's layers to this.

@@Rae777 I'm not saying it worked I'm just saying there's a reason they picked Charlamagne and not Angela Yee or DJ Envy or a DJ from any other radio station. Charlamagne is sort of the black sheep of radio who isn't going to beat around the issues even if it means making the guest uncomfortable. He's got that reputation and a lot of people hate Char bc they don't understand him, his perspectives, or the reason he's playing that part IS to be "that guy" who will go 'too far' and get under the skin to make for good radio. I'm just saying imagine if Angela Ye was interviewing Travis sitting there crying? Charlamagne is like a stonewall not showing any emotion and in a sense I respect that letting the audience listen and make up their minds based on what Travis says or tries to beat around. It's just clearly a messy situation and Travis knows there's a lot he can't say without incriminating himself possibly despite how he really feels or what he knows for certain.

Same thing for me and Grady. I didn't really recognize what he was doing was out of the ordinary when I lived in Florida. Growing up in Chicago I didn't pay attention to the news much. Grady definitely gets a kick out of making a show and a mockery and has a lot of self righteousness. He turns it into entertainment and acts like he's really doing something to help the situation. I think people keep him in because they look at him like some sort of cowboy wrangling in the outlaws and they watch him like it was Dr.Phil or something. That being said I'd be lying if I didn't laugh at some of the things he's done though. Florida has seemed to have a dramatic spike in violent and gang related crime over the last decade. I grew up they called my city Chiraq even though I was on the North side there's still dangerous neighborhoods. Now they are calling Florida Florganisthan bc of the violence in places like Jacksonville. It's a wild world.

Again, thanks Mr. Rivers for breaking all this down for everyone. This situation was so tragic. A good showman should know crowd control! I'm not nessasaraly into rap but have been to plenty of concerts. An example is the performer Eminem. He has stopped many concerts mid song, took time and tells his crowd to calm down, that he would not continue the show if fans keep rushing forward and even has told people if someone is down around you get them up, help them! He'll do dances with the crowd....telling everyone to take 2 steps back...etc. He seems to do a lot to make sure there is some level of safety. A performer should definitely learn to recognize crowd stress and control. You never really know if everything is completely avoidable but it sure helps when the performer is hyper-aware. This is so unfortunate for both entertainer and fans.
