I have said elsewhere that it was eventually perceived by the BBC ‘heads’ to have a far too accusatory tone with presenters becoming far from impartial (ie, Rav ‘the Chav’ Wilding’s cocky and arrogant stance) Moreover, it was seen as possibly prejudicing the views of jurors in forthcoming trials who had watched the programme featuring alleged offenders over whom they would subsequently be required to consider a verdict.

Murder of Colette Aram was eventually solved with DNA and I think Crimewatch did an update in 2010.

Nice to see they finally caught the murderer of colette aram. If you don't know it was luck. The murderer was called Paul Hutchinson and by chance his son was arrested, I think for driving and when they took his son dna it came back that the person who killed colette was related. So he finally got caught

Familial DNA is the name for this way of solving crimes. Thanks to ancestry DNA and various other sites/services like it it is becoming a new everyday way to solve crime.

Paul Hutchinson also was believed to have taken an overdose and died only 1-2 years into his sentence, “believed” because a post mortem was inconclusive

They did get the man, I think it might be the one looking over the bridge who was seen earlier. She was very rich. The cottage she lived in was only part of all the surrounding grounds, and her son lived in a mansion on the same plot. They were millionaires through something called Blue Mountain coffee, I think. The stabs in the neck were cos the man tried to get her to give her cash point number, but she resisted, so he kept stabbing her. It was just robbery, cos she was so rich.

Giving your kids a bit of independence though can help them growing up to feel more confident. But you do see fewer and fewer kids out playing now unsupervised.
