That’s because we learn something from the series. The rare behind-the-scenes footage of police work more than makes up for some of the cringey acting. Also not all actors are cringey. The lady at the start of the video has a fake accent but other than that, the others acted okay.

She is an actress, not a condo manager. Condo manager would think carefully before calling the police, to avoid kena tekan by the her boss and the condo committee members and the unit owner. Sometime got bad smell only coming from the unit, suspect dead person, they don't straight away call the police. Most important cover your back side, inform the higher up first.

His accent is also surprisingly good for a mainland China person working at a construction site. Normally, they won't have such good accents or even articulate that well. Unless I'm mistaken. 😅 Of course not discriminating. Either it's just the actor or like if it occured during the actual situation, it suggests that there must have been something going on.

@@njannah97 I think he's a Singaporean actor trying to fake a Mainland Chinese accent but ended up sounding like an American Chinese instead. 😂 Dong Bin's Boss sounds like a pure Singaporean Uncle. And the 2 girls sound either Singaporean or Malaysian when speaking in English, but their Mainland Chinese accent sounds pretty believable.

The sentence will usually be worded like fined 12000 in default, 3 months jail, meaning if dont pay the amount then se4ve 3 months jail. Sometimes u could get jailed and fined, so if u dont pay the fine ur sentence will be longer.

Miranda rights are an American thing. And the right not to incriminate yourself is way weaker in Singapore than in the US. They also don’t have the right to speak to a lawyer until after they’re interrogated.

Why not? They’ve ascertained that the unit was indeed used for vice and just wanna hear it from the horse’s mouth. Also the ‘so-called bystander’ you just mentioned is not just any other bystander but a person who knowingly went into a brothel in the unit. If he didn’t do anything wrong, what’s there to hide. If the police had gone in earlier, he’d be just another person to be hauled to the police station to assist in the investigation like the earlier 2 guys who were caught in the woodlands condo.
