I've noticed over the years Wichita is really feeling out, I remember many of these neighborhoods use to be just empty Land, and now they're full with homes, and shopping areas, and I love it, because Wichita is obviously not the small town many people think it is. And it's also more to do here than people think it is as well.

You forgot my neighborhood. South of 21st, West of Ridge. Live here 35 years. I’ve only had the cops on my street twice since living here. Both times the cops were at my house. DOH !!

will i was born here n will pass away here 🙀 😻😻 i get so mad when someone say that there is nothing in kansas there alot of great places in Wichita or anything that is nothing in ks pretty a few yrs ago, i took trips that i had never seen been to n i found some neat towns 😻😻😻💞😻👀👀👀 and nice people 👀👀😻😻💞💞 i love everthing only is alot to do n places to see, i just wish they keep wichita as being what is know it was cow town old times👀👀👀🤩🤩😍💕😻😻 i ws real sad when i went down town n seen all the changes😥😢😭😿😹

Feeling safe is going to be subjective to each person. With that said, the majority of the area in and around downtown is alive and well with singles of all stages of life which leads me to believe most feel comfortably safe in those areas.

I live in Wichita. Have all my life. Riverside is fine but like anywhere suffers from a lot of homeless. They are generally harmless. Just don't go too far south or North, I'd advise as East as possible if you can afford it and are worried about crime.

You're going to find crime in most bigger towns and cities. Many of them are Domestic, however we had a shooting last Saturday night. There are some places you know not to go to. Keep your mouth, mind your own business, and you should be fine. I think I'm safer here than Chicago, New York, or Michigan.

Definitely a realtor. I did reference the website I used for the information I gave and at the time gave some general home values. The unfortunate part is from the time of this video until now, those home values have gone up due to Covid related reasons. But the general information is still valid. Thanks for the comment.

I live at Wheatshocker apartment for 5 years while I went to WSU, Obama sons stole my bike,TV and wheel hubs.

Agreed! Only a true fool would site google as an accurate source. I've lived here all 66yrs of my life and sure, we have crime. What metro area of a half million people doesn't? I've also spent alot of time in the bigger cities of 42 of our states in the US and apparently this guy hasn't.

Realtor is biased cause he doesn't get buyers/sellers in College Hill, the finest established neighborhood in Wichita. He skips right past that, as no business for him to be had with top realtors in control..Typical YT style video by agents/businesses that are actually self- ads.

You are definitely correct that I am a small time agent, there is no secret to be had there, but you are certainly wrong about my motives. I made this video out of several requests from people who were curious, and so I abliged with public data. You should do a quick Google search and see if College Hill makes the top ten safest areas in Wichita to check my work. I will definitely admit being wrong if I'm corrected.

I have lived in Wichita my whole life an i am aliitle upset at how you put this video together. All your "safest" neighborhoods are outside if Wichita. You should not say in Wichita. I think you did Wichita a disservice. I live right in the middle of Wichita an it's safe. I feel you represent an upper class of buyers an that's fine but there are many many safe neighborhoods in Wichita.

Hi, Alesia. I agree with you that Wichita, as a whole, definitely feels much safer than many cities I've lived in. Concerning the video content, I gathered these stats from various websites that have calculated crime rate as a whole per neighborhood and I just listed their results. You are correct, though, I show houses all through the heart of Wichita and always feel completely safe. Thanks for your comment.

Realistically, there are only a handful of places in the city I would consider unsafe. Most of Wichita is actually pretty great.

You're safer here than some other states. Poverty is the reason for most crime. I listen to the scanner. So much of it is Domestic, or Drug related. Don't go into those neighborhoods.

The area around WSU is the worse part because it's the hood.

How about not being a useless coward? I live in the north central. That's right. Right at 25th and Arkansas.

I was just offered more than double of what I make in LA to move to Wichita but I don’t think I will accept that job. I’ve had bad experience with poor states. Don’t get me wrong I love Trump but living in poor states is bad. Bad food, bad healthcare, drug crimes off the chart. Your own sheriff is on record saying: “crime has gone down because the price of illegal drugs have come down significantly. The market is saturated with drugs.” So I’m sorry but your low cost of living pitch doesn’t work to bring talent and diversity to Kansas. All I hear about Kansas is crime, racist bitter people, poor healthcare, lonely bitter people, obesity, depression, weird form of Christianity, nobody wants to live there. No stimulus for your mind or body. No mountains for hiking or skiing, no ocean to go surfing or having fun. There is nothing there! Nothing! In a place like that you’d think at least people would be supportive of each other, but they are not. They want to kill each other. So take your $160k/year job...

Bad food? We're a test kitchen city. May not have mountains or ocean. That's fine. No wild fires. No threat of tsunamis, very mild earthquakes. There's plenty of hiking trails and bike paths. If someone is bired here it's their own fault.
