For 18 months Shane Warne harboured a secret. The most potent spin bowler in modern cricket, had such a sore and damaged shoulder last season he couldn't sleep on one side and was in agony when he bowled. But Warne refused to go public with his problems because he was afraid of being labelled a whinger. As he confides to Liz Hayes, how could he complain when he was taking so many wickets? In this entertaining profile, Australia's most famous sportsman takes us into his Ferrari-driving lifestyle to reveal his newfound love for home life and family, his old affection for pies and jam donuts and his celebrated career-long passion for taking Test wickets, particularly those of English. And though Warne says his public profile seems to be that of an arrogant and obnoxious big head, he tells Hayes he's just misunderstood. He's really just a 'genuine bloke having a good time out there.'
