CRF450 Weighted Flywheel Install [TRAIL TECH][2014 HONDA CRF450r]

I will be showing you the entire process of installing a heavier flywheel on your dirt bike. This is being done on my 2014 Honda CRF450R. I'll cover parts needed, requirements and a little bit of installation how-to.
For this build, I'm using a 35 oz. flywheel kit from Trail Tech. This is +17 oz. more than the stock flywheel. They make all sorts of high quality parts and this flywheel is no exception. This is a easy installation that helps you tame your dirtbike in its low rpm range.
Heavy weight flywheels reduce stalling, improve traction, reduce the need for clutching, and make the bike easier to start.
Adding weight increases inertia, which reduces the bike's tendency to stall at low speeds.
Top speed is not affected - the heavy flywheel smoothes power delivery.
The machine will hook up better in soft terrain, and pull stronger.
Riding with a heavier flywheel will reduce arm pump and fatigue.

Unfortunately, I think Trail Tech stopped making flywheel weights earlier this year. Another popular brand, Steahly, had their flywheel weights manufactured by Trail Tech. Sooo, ebay is probably your best bet...

Steahly is making them again now. I can link you to them if you'd like. Just put one on my 09 crf and it has been by far the best mod I've done to my bike to help out be more trail friendly

@@gregharper491 you know if they do the ones to make power output better for lighting? cant find the old TT lighting flywheel from my old 450 anywhere online and fucker was way brighter than new one with leds

Jon Grieve I felt it was a solid upgrade. It definitely reduced stalling at low speeds and there seemed to be a smoother power delivery. Pairing this with a 52 tooth sprocket was perfect for more technical trail riding.
