Crew-5 Mission | Undocking

Ғылым және технология

On Saturday, March 11 at 2:20 a.m. ET, Dragon autonomously undocked from the International Space Station (ISS). After performing a series of departure burns to move away from the space station, Dragon will conduct multiple orbit-lowering maneuvers, jettison the trunk, and re-enter Earth’s atmosphere for splashdown off the coast of Florida approximately 19 hours later at 9:02 p.m. ET.
Aboard the spacecraft will be Crew-5 NASA astronauts Nicole Mann and Josh Cassada, JAXA astronaut Koichi Wakata, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Anna Kikina, who flew to the space station on Dragon when Falcon 9 launched the spacecraft from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Wednesday, October 5 at 12:00 p.m. ET.

Incredible… again. Again demonstrating the capacity for innovation and creativity in the private sector that just can’t be matched by governments anywhere. Combining the private sector and NASA, in this case, accelerated these developments by 10 years.

NASA has always teamed up with the private sector. Who do you think built all that hardware that went to the moon and SLS? The problem has been those bloated legacy contractors. It's the new blood that's trying to change things. The old guard was content to get rich on the tax payers teat without even trying to innovate or bring costs down. Spacex came along and gave them a swift kick in their complacency.

Some stars move with the capsule and some do not. Shouldn't the entire view of the sky shift with the camera?
