    I loved the video! A question for next time could be " If you could only pick one to work with for the rest of your life, which patern or "morph" of crested gecko would you pick"

    Τhe thing that i love about US is that if you want to be a breeder (or anything that you are passionate with) you will find a way to do that. There is a market there almost for everything. If i try to do that in my coutry, people will think that i am crazy and probably i will have no income at all. This is not that you are not passionate enough, but here (at least for the reptile business) there is no market for this, everything is imported or is from people that are breeding for hobby and they dont emphasize on the genetics. You cant find a hight quality gecko here. Τhere are no laws for breeders either. In my country you have to study to sustane yourself, if you dont you will have a much lower salary than you would have if you were studying. Sorry for the whining and for my bad english. Keep it up!!

    Yes, this is another reason why people in America should feel blessed, because we have the ability to just do anything we want for money. What country do you live in

    I live in Greece The market is different and the population is a huge factor too, USA has 300+ million people and Greece has 10 million people.

    10:15 This is very true. I’m not a fan of Dalmatians as it is. I just don’t find them as amazing as a drippy harlequin. But breeding a Dalmatian to a Lilly White is such a huge disservice to customers. I hate when I find a nice-looking gecko, specially Lilly Whites, and I see they have dal spots on them. It just ruins their natural pattern. Dal spots only look good on patternless geckos.

    What are the best color morphs to make the Lily white with besides scaleless? White Walls pinstripes red what morph is best to mix with a lilly white? Would you ever do a quadstripe or supper stripe?

    Quad stripes and super stripes are really boring to me. I would pair anything drippy or extreme harlequin with lilly white. Watch my gigachad breeding plan video and you'll see what I pair with lillies

    Would be curious to get your thoughts on why more of the “two headed” reptiles are appearing/hatching out more and more and what could be causing it and how to prevent it if possible, not just crested geckos but snakes as well, I seem to see more and more of these hatching from others in the past year.

    Over time there's more and more inbreeding that happens, not even intentionally, but unintentionally like I touched on in the video. All captive bred geckos are distant cousins. Over time the chances of mishaps just increase I'm assuming

    one interesting thing I took away from this which really did get me thinking was the fact that all crested geckos in the states came from a shipment of 100. Does that mean the mutations we see now exist in all crested geckos as a genetic marker and simply need the right combo to activate the trait or are they completely random and over time just found their genetic pairs? also how does this apply to geckos in say south africa - we typically breed for very few traits, is there potential in these less morph intense areas to produce new morphs ?

  • @robbysreptiles

    @robbysreptiles

    To my understanding it's a mix of both the options you gave! Any species has variants and mutations that simply change the visual look of an animal. There are albino crocodiles in the wild, they're rare, but it happens
