I cannot get enough of this content y’all. Please dont stop! Plz plz plz… I was thinking a good idea for a vid would be revisiting the neighborhoods (especially) and places you already have covered but go deeper and tell the stories you weren’t able to or didn’t in the previous videos. As we know the city has basically endless stories and history to be told while being seen. Im sure any of y’all could go back through any already toured neighborhood and make a fresh, informative and fun new piece. Andrew often says he can go in to this or that but we never get the tale 😊. Please y’all! We want another walkabout & talkabout!

This is the first video I watch of yours, am I’m absolutely blown away by it. It feels like I’m really there with you taking in the sights, learning about the history of everything you’re going by. I love New Orleans. I’m from south texas, but I’ve been going once a year for the last 5 or so years. This next trip, I wanna drive to San Antonio with my daughter, take our bikes on the Amtrak, and get around the city by bike so we can explore more than just the downtown/quarter area. That’s the best part of New Orleans, you don’t really need a car there. The city is so compact, that’s the reason I dream of moving there.

( I am no stranger to gentrification in my hometown of Portland Oregon) If it's true that transplants move to the bywater where is it that most of the locals might commonly live?

Nice tour, very well done and enjoyable. As to the question of whether "street art" is trash or treasure, I consider graffiti to be criminal conduct and a blight on our cities. I do not consider commissioned wall murals to be a form of street art but rather public art.

I'm really thinking about moving to New Orleans next year, and was considering Bywater because I've heard it affordable/artsy? But from what you're saying maybe it's getting too gentrified. I'm a 25 yr old artist living in Bedstuy in Brooklyn and hoping to find an affordable but artsy area, I guess something similar to Bedstuy but in New Orleans. How you're talking about Bywater reminds me of what happened to Williamsburg and lately Bushwick which makes me nervous. I'd love to hear alternative recommendations/other neighborhoods!

I don't know why gentrification is such a controversy for some. The neighborhood's always look much better. It's true in Quebec City and it's true in New Orleans. The "poor native-born people" who "got pushed out" weren't taking care of anything and it just gets run down, ugly and dangerous. Seriously, are there any nice neighborhoods in New Orleans that are not rather wealthy and/or white? Just look at a map of racial demographics of New Orleans and which neighborhoods are the nice ones. The Faubourg Marigny and Bywater are nice, south of Saint Claude Ave. I wish something good would happen in the Irish Channel or around Lafayette no. 2.
