In Australia, people often stop to check the pouch of road killed kangaroos , koalas, wombats , for pouch babies that may have survived and can be rescued . So if that was his reason, it's normal.

No man, come on. That’s not a red flag…maybe a yellow flag when paired with other behaviors. Plenty of people have interest in animals, and I stop to look at dead animals because I want to figure out what it is, also if I’d be able to preserve any of the bones. Also, if it’s an opossum or another marsupial in the spring/ summer you investigate because you want to check their pouch, to be able to save any surviving babies. Also, an animal could still be injured and alive, and might still survive if it is rescued. Shocker: I majored in zoology in college. Animals interest me. I’m not defending him, just the many many people who are good people, and are judged because they don’t adhere to societal norms

The notion of a flawless marriage or relationship is a myth. There's no set formula for success; what works for one couple may not work for another. Yet, I've discovered that there's always a way forward, even in the most challenging times. Five years ago, my wife and I encountered significant hurdles in our marriage that nearly led to divorce. Despite the adversity, we managed to weather the storm and emerge from it with our bond renewed and revitalized..

I think they just heard only part of the story, and the phrase"wanted to marry" also is misguiding totally untrue when you hear the other facts about how this guy was just pretending to be what he wasn't. Also they may have not heard it was 6 days! of torture and making her feel she was gonna die to get her to accept what she did not want to do. They may think it was just some minutes of play role and then be the hero that saves her from some kidnap...I think they hear something then fill the story with their imagination like it was just a guy that was so in love that made a crazy thing.

Going a bit out on a limb here, but its quite possible that Carolyn might have suspected something as "off" from the point of him being a hostage with her. Possibly it was her gut instinct, or the Holy Spirit letting her know that Julian is in fact the perp. She simply had to go along with this mans charade, being naked with him for days on end, and to hopefully get out of it alive.

I also think Julian should of served double the prison time he did, like Dr Grande said...(15 years, minimum!..)

This genius also had a cellphone he brought which was in that backpack as he didnt think he'd be out there nearly as long as they were because as soon as she said yes 😂 it was suppose to be a wrap , then he'd just call mommy & daddy explaining why he did this and tell them basically how it was so worth it as she said YES of course😮 so come get them now and pick up a small cake and a few balloons while on the way .😊 I guess he didn't realize most trees don't have plugs built inside them to charge cellphones & that's why he had to go in the road and flag someone down & yes almost completely naked. He even asked her supposedly to come walk with him but 😮that wasn't happening. 😅 What a douchbag.....😂😅
