Bro what. My minnows die with perfect water and a self aerating insulated bucket but those minnows survive in a styrofoam cup with no water in a vending machine

I’ve caught at least 30 large mouths with tadpoles and minnows from the same lake. So you should catch the minnows from the same lake instead of artificially bread minnows.

Hey first state, I got a lure it's a blue fox spinner bait, those work really well for trout where I grew up Oregon I got a tip from a fisherman to use em and they work idk what makes them work better but blue fox lures work really well for trout

@@FirstStateFishing Cabela's had Abu Garcia baitcast combos on sale so I picked up an Abu Garcia Zata combo. Saved myself $100 with the deal. Was gonna go with a Shimano SLX or Diawa Tatula CT but couldn't pass up this deal

Honestly I feel like minnows are underrated, I caught my biggest long nose gar on a couple, and he was just shy of 3 ft

Could you try fishing OBX, NC?

Been fishing at my local lakes and caught lots of largemouth at around 4 lbs and a few northerns.

W video! Quick tip tho u should hook the minnow through the nose.

@FirstStateFishing you should try a Cuban yoyo hand line for a challenge . It's how I fish and I pull in some big saltwater fish . And little creek trout. 15 lb mono and cast master lures or drop shot rigs with baited circle hooks and you'll be set !

Minnows rule but the hooks kind big and easy to see. Still should slay them. We string minnows with double hooks in the back. Hook everything.

you should do a catch and cook a catfish again ! Or fly fish the creek we haven't seen that in a while bro

My favorite seafood dinner dish at a restaurant is a cioppino. It'd be cool to see if you could try to make that or make your version of a cioppino. You should Google the recipe. It's delicious 😋

Go up to North Carolina and fish the pamlico river you can find some of the biggest speckeled trout and red drum in the south

You should go saltwater fishing, only using vegetables as bait

I think you'll be super happy in FL, where you can freshwater and saltwater fish all year round. I live here and yeah houses are EXPENSIVE. But I'll look into getting a new build on a community. The interest rates are 4% with their lender, which is the same way I got my house and I only put $7.5k down and my mortgage is less than rent around here. (Southern Homes was my builder, I don't know their current quality of work, I bought in 2018, but they were amazing to work with)

I'd like to see creek fishing in North Florida/Southern Georgia area.

I fish on the James River in Va. People have walked into my lines when I was catfishing and one time I almost his someone with a cast cause they popped out of the bushes.

When I fish live bait calm clear water I use light line small hooks and no weight.

Bass in spots like this have probably been caught before and understand what a hook is.
