This was a concert at The Royal Albert Hall in 1970. The footage was only recently made available as part of a documentary film released last year, along with a CD of the concert. As a matter of fact, only within the last month or two, Fogerty finally got the ownership of his original songs and recordings returned to him (he was screwed by Fantasy Records ever since CCR disbanded in the early '70s). Thanks Dave and Harri.

I sure hope that's true, that he got his music returned to him. It was always really his to the us lovers of CCR
You're right about little Richard !!! This band was insane !!! What a singer, so rock musicians. Paul Mccartney loves little Richard so much. Like on "I'm down " Great great band !!!!

Little Richard taught Paul how to scream
Your Little Richard comparison was awesome. 🥰
CCR has always been one of my favorites from the 60's-70's. They don't have a bad song! John Fogerty has one of the most unique & recognizable voices around. All their songs are great. You've done quite a few already but lots more to react to such as "Proud Mary", "Lodi", "Green River", "Commotion", "Night Time Is The Right Time", "Down On The Corner", "Cotton Fields", "Midnight Special", "Run Through The Jungle", "Suzie Q", "Sweet Hitch-Hiker" etc.

I *love* Lodi. Very different song than Traveling Band - sort of the flip side of it. Great, great, great band.
CCR accomplished so much in the short time they were together. Great reaction Harri!
Always the best music from CCR, it never gets old
Fabulous!! Nothing like a great rock and roll treat reminiscent of the 50's. From the 1970 album Cosmo's Factory, this was written by John as an homage to Little Richard. Unfortunately it became a law suit with Little Richard record company. The guitars are ripping magical chords, horns and the drums blazing in this masterpiece. After they had cut the record John went back in and added the horns and piano. Perfect reaction Harri. Thanks Harri and Dave. 👏 👏 FANTASTIC Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
🔥🔥🔥 FIRE! THEY never disappoint. CCR/John Fogerty is still my favorite band, I started listening in 68 the start with Suzie Q. This, I put a Spell on You and Night Time is the Right Time may be my favorites tho a tough choice with all their timeless great songs.
You're exactly right, this is the old time rock and roll. No one better than CCR.
They did a cover of Good Golly Miss Molly! Check it out.
CCR was such a great band, and so successful. I've never seen this concert---thanks so much for sharing it !
Doesn't get much better than this
Check out the studio version. John does 2 killer screams in that version. Been in love with this band since 1970 at the tender age of 14. Bought every album and worn them all out. Still in love with them to this day. John Fogarty was my teenage heart throb crush. Check out Pagan Baby next it's FIRE!
I never made the connection but yeah, I could totally hear Little Richard singing this song, who is a legend in his own right.
Loved CCR for 50 years now , IMO they never had a bad song . Check out Born in the Bayou , I put a spell on you , Fortune Son , Heard it through the Grapevine ( they are the original artist) . Thanks Harri, a pleasure as usual to visit your channel 👍🔥❤️

Marvin Gaye is the writer and original performer of "Heard It Through The Grapevine". CCR's version however, is my personal favorite take on it.

@@ronnelson7828 Marvin Gaye was neither the writer nor the originator of "Grapevine." It was written by Barrett Strong and Norman Whitfield, and was first recorded by Gladys Knight and the Pips. In fact, she had a Top 10 with it. Gaye's version followed a year later, albeit it went to #1. For my money, Knight's version still is the best

@@paulcash8160 Oops, my bad! I thought Marvin Gaye's was the original version, as it is the one I first remember hearing. 🤔 However, my favorite version is by CCR.
I remember playing Little Richard records on a dansette record player in the 50s. This sounds a lot like those songs. Great stuff.
Looks like that London show, theres a special about CCR on Netflix.
They were one of my favorite bands even when I was a little kid (like, 5 or 6 years old). 5-0+ years on, and when one of their songs comes on, the volume goes up.
At dinnertime one day, cool older neighbor boy was working on his car in the driveway and this music was coming out of the garage. Did the dishes in record time, told my parents I was going out to play, strolled over. "Whatcha listening to?" The rest is CCR history. :-)
John Fogerty is a special rabbit hole to explore. Fogerty has a special story to tell as the record company took control of his music. He just recently regained most control.
Listen to the studio version

Thinking the same.
I would have loved to have heard them cover " long tall Sally " At Woodstock, in the middle of the night, they played maybe the best version of "I put a spell on you" you should give it a try, your ears will be rewarded.
I don't think there is a country in the world, where they never heard a CCR song. Maybe deep in the jungle, are some people that don't know one of CCR's songs. Pure genius, JOHN FOGARTY. Most of the time it's simple music, not too hard to play, but it's soooo good. Hope you're gonna do a lot more of CCR songs, Harri. Great stuff. 👊👍😁❤
More than 50 years now of loving CCR, thanks to the kind soul who got one of their records into Wrexham library.
Love them! My first concert, I’ll never forget it. ❤
I so wish I had recordings of my father singing ❤️ thanks for your reactions 💖🦋
I read that John Fogerty was a big fan for Little Richard and Bo Didley. He wrote some great songs covered by other stars.
I think this is one of my faves by CCR .

I so enjoyed your take on this masterpiece!!!
Harri this is one of my fav song by CCR BTY the guitar John is playing he gave away in disgust when he had the breakup and the feud with the record company after he married his Julie she found it and bought it back for him
He is almost 78 years old now is birthday is coming up soon.
Please do SWEET HITCH HIKER and UP AROUND THE BEND and JAMBALIA BY CCR /John Fogert ! Also DOWN ON THE CORNER
This is my favorite by CCR.
I put a spell on you by CCR is worth a listen
Did you notice the old curlicue telephone receiver-like guitar cords? I got my first electric guitar in the 1970s and that's exactly like the cord I had at the time. They have tons of songs and not a single bad one. It's one of those few bands or everything they ever did was just great. Such a deep catalog and a huge huge variety of styles but they always had their own sound.
Can't believe I never made the connection to Little Richard.
Have to looove John Fogartys voice 🤎
Merry xmas sir, you bring great music...your enthusiasm is fab...more quo please?
It was always meant to be a tribute to Little Richard. Unfortunately, his record company sued CCR for theft.

Yeah, and they had to settle. So some of the royalties of the song went to Richard's record company. Not sure if Little Richard himself had anything to do with the lawsuit. But companies were pretty shady back then.
John screams all over the studio version. Highly recommended.
Now, kids, that’s what we used to call rock & roll! My dad and my buddy’s dad, used to tell us our music was a bunch of screaming, but they loved CCR. Now, wait a minute! We like CCR too, and none of our music screams like John Fogerty.
One of my fav CCR songs. I always blast this in the car!!! This is missing some of the screams on the record. I think he was getting winded live. But big screams on the recording!
hit after hit after hit… don’t bogart that joint my friend!
Harri, try to find Fogerty's Woodstock story. It is worth your time.
The audience just sat there like bumps on a log
👏👏👏👏👏👏
Sad to know that Little Richard's manegement accused CCR/JF of plaziarising (CCR loved LR) lucky enough it was quikly arranged outside the court.

Whenever this song was played at our local skating rink, 50 ten-year-olds would skate faster! The guitar solos are stellar and John Fogerty's vocals are amazing! Love it!
Try Alice in Chains, Down in a Hole the MTV Unplugged version.
Hey Harri, I'm still cruisin this reaction portion of the internet and can't find one reaction to ZZ TOPS studio version of "Fool For Your Stockings". Maybe you can help an old Rock & Roll gal out here. Give it some thought, Please.

John Fogerty didn’t do the primal scream too much in that song
Always do the original Studio Version!!!!! Not this live crap.
